Moen Teak Folding Shower Seat

unlike built in benches, this one folds which allows more room for accessibility. Also, unlike built-ins, the wood isn't cold to sit on like tile - another bonus. You can treat it with teak oil or let it age naturally - no mtnce. required. It holds up to 400# (provided it's installed correctly.) It looks modern and sleek. I've had my chair for more than a yr and have no regrets. The only suggestion I'd make is for those without a lot of natural padding - you may want to double fold a towel and put that on the seat for extra "cushioning." ;-) Worth every penny! Thanks Moen!

Had this chair installed in. A steam shower when we build our home six years ago. Use it every day and absolutely love it. Functional, practical and comfortable.

Perfect for our needs as we progress in years and with our present health issues.

Product is sturdy as advertised.....a great investment. The attached picture shows the produce installed in a Dreamline Infinity-Z shower system with the wall studs in place pre-backerboard installation.

I had a shower upgrade done looking towards features I would need in the future with age and wanted some type of chair. Not happy with the chairs that fit in the shower, not stable afraid of falls so when they offered me this chair and it accommodated up to 400 lbs I was sold. Also had a grab bar installed to assist with standing Excellent upgrade to my new shower

The unit is functional however we are disappointed in the quality of wood and stain. The stain drips onto the floor and the seat is rough and splinters. Is this normal, and will it stop?

We received the chair and all looks great; however, there are no screws in the box to mount the seat. Of course it came on the holiday and we cannot call to see if they will send them overnight so our builder can install the seat on Tuesday or Wednesday. We shall see how Customer Service does.

OK I waited to write this review because I'm a bit miffed at Moen right now and didn't want to sound too harsh, we'll see. Doing the whole bathroom, tile, marble, sinks, faucets, shower plumbing the works. decided to go with all Moen Pro products because of the quality, looks and reputation. Picked out the Method Collection in brushed nickel for everything. I mean shower head, valve, faucets, towel bars, toilet handle, all in brushed nickel. I picked out everything but had a contractor do all the work, I want it done right. While picking out everything on this site I noticed this bench, perfect, a bench was in the plan! Picture shows this beautiful "stainless" framed teak bench which will match perfectly with all the Moen brushed nickel fixtures. Get home from work contractor has installed most of the faucets and shower plumbing, its beautiful! Bench will be installed tomorrow, great. Got home next day itching to see how great this bench is going to look with all the other trim. What is this "gray" bench doing in my new shower? What happened to the beautiful stainless bench I was supposed to get? Turns out its light gray power coated aluminum. Yeah you don't find that out unless you go to the specs page where it says its aluminum. Oh yeah if you look real close at "some" of the pictures you can see that its light gray and not shiney stainless but tell me the main picture isn't a stainless frame??? So now I have a beautiful new bathroom with all Moen brushed nickel fixtures and a gray Moen bench right smack dab in the center back wall. The bench does say "Moen" on it and it does function well so I'll give it 5 stars for functionality. So Moen if you ever get back to making them out of stainless again give me a call you have my number"............

Our Home Improvement Company that Remodels Bathrooms has purchased many of these seat for our customers. We are experiencing issues with these seats. I have 2 different customers that has called back stating the the Teak Stain on the Seat is Bleeding and dripping onto the Floors of their Shower Pans staining their Shower Pans and Wall Panels

I had this seat installed in my shower one year ago. It is totally functional, stylish, and durable. it does not stain. It is very sturdy, and because it is attached to the wall and has no legs, is a zip to clean - I just spray it with the shower head and it dries quickly. Plus when not using it, unlike removable seats, it takes up no room.
