This goal is an amazing option as it's way better than the entry level goals but way less expensive than a full on in ground high end system. The way it comes is genius as the main post fold up/out instead of having to navigate setting a post. The backboard gives the feel like you're in an indoor gym! We project this goal is durable and will last for a long time. The instructions are printed but they also have a QR code that leads you to a visual demonstration for the main steps. Well done Spalding!

I bought a budget hoop for the kids a couple of years ago and it was fine, but now that they're older and taking basketball more serious, it was time to upgrade as they recognized how flimsy their old basket was compared to gym quality equipment. After days of research I decided on the Momentous Arena goal and have been very pleased. Not only does it look better than cheaper units but the setup is in fact much much simpler. It took me around an hour by myself, but I was in no hurry. The sound coming off the glass is better and it doesn't rattle around like our old goal. Another plus is how easy it is to take down, seeing as I have it set up right on the road; no more worrying about delivery trucks snagging the net if it's going to be unused for a period of time. For a mid-level portable goal I don't think you can do any better.

Didn't quite take 30 minutes for me but I set it up by myself in around an hour. Much easier than my previous outdoor Lifetime Hoop which was a huge headache. And the base, backboard, and structure is all large and sturdy. As others have noted the clear backboard is a little cloudy/streaky and not quite as clear as the pictures and description implied but still very happy with the purchase.

Assembly was definitely not 90 minutes but family enjoyed putting this together as we all participated in it. Agree with another review that it is heavy once filled up and the fact the instructions pointed that out in the beginning. Would highly advise to have it where it will be used before you fill it up! It is heavy and difficult to move so I wouldn't try by yourself! We added a weather proof bag with another 100 pounds of sand to keep on top and it survived 60mph winds that came through where we live. I will say, I keep it lowered to 8 feet when it was windy and it kept it lower to the ground vs extended to 10 feet. Crank is easy to work and markings on pole are easy to read. Would buy again!

Was looking for an affordable goal that wouldn't be daunting to set up. After reading the reviews on the EZ assemble goals by spalding I was turned away. After doing more research on other goals I couldn't help but come back to this one. Everything about it besides the reviews seemed to check off all my boxes. The 60" backboard is great, especially for a portable hoop. Assembly was super quick, took about 30 minutes to set up. The quality so far after a week seems pretty durable. As for the reviews that turned me away, many said that the handle to raise/lower the goal was faulty. I can't speak to if it would break after raising and lowering a few times as I put mine straight to 10 foot and it will stay there. I did find that compared to in ground goals the mechanism that raises it does seem more fragile. I think that being gentle with the handle and taking the time while raising and lowering it will make a huge difference on how long it lasts. I imagine (as I have done this many times with different goals in the past) that the handle is being spun was to fast and aggressively. Just a guess. This goal is awesome.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is good for what it is and probably the best of the portable hoops out there. It was easy to set up and with cleaning everything up it was probably around an hour to set up. We had a couple of issues, the backside of backboard had a pretty significant white scuff on it and the film that covered the front was under the frame and hard to remove. Otherwise it's good. I think they should provide base gel with these units in the future as well.

I bought mine literally last night. Waited for the rain to pass before I set it up. Backboard cracked as I was putting on the rim. The guy who loaded in my vehicle dropped one end putting it into my truck and the box was pretty ripped, didn't think anything of it. Now I have a cracked up backboard right out of the b ox. Hoop seems amazing, wish we could of used it. Now the waiting game😪

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great item and looks solid but I am worried because item is already rusting on the backboard where the screws are at and this is right after taking it out of the box.

I live on a cul-de-sac and with my neighbors we have three basketball hoops. Once again, I was at work and it was a windy day. Whose fell down and broke? Mine.... Very frustrating after I spent hours putting sand in and making it was stable as possible.
