very easy to install and sturdy. my mom is very satisfied
i love it and I give it a lot of thumbs up
This is very light weight, almost feels like it won't work. This was so simple to install pick you spot, make sure two tabs are up the. Just push the two tabs in. You don't have to press hard then push the tabs , just place it where you want it. The suction is incredible. I purposely tried to pull it off of my shower stall wall and could not. This bar is for support , you're not supposed to hang from it! I weigh 250 lbs and pulled on that pretty hard , it didn't budge. Strong support. The chrome can be slippery if your hands are soapy, so be sure to rinse before grabbing.
12” Chrome Safe-er-Grip helps my elderly mother feel more stable getting in and out of the shower. My 74 year-old mother has always had a fear of falling as there was nothing to hold on to. This Safe-er-Grip works as intended, to keep her balance. The handle is a perfect size for her to wrap her arthritic fingers around. We cleaned the fiberglass shower with rubbing alcohol before attaching the grip to ensure the surface was clean first. It is securely attached to the shower wall. An added plus was that it attaches by suction, thus there are no screws or permanent holes necessary to attach the product.
Although the suction cups advertised to work for 4-in tiles, I could not find a way to position the handle without crossing over a gap between the tiles. Therefore , I could not get solid suction on both cups . I suppose I could fill the gap in with grout, but it is not what I expected.
did not secure to wall
I've gotten older, and though I can still do most everything for myself, I find I do need a little extra help occasionaly when showering. So I was looking forward to trying and reviewing this grab bar. I have one big caution for anyone considering it. Pay close attention to the name of this product! It is called “Mommy's Helper Safer Grip” for apparently very good reason!. As far as I can determine it's only meant for balance assistance and is not intended to assist in preventing falls for someone with an injury or physical disability. It should be a good product for a child needing assistance getting in or out of the tub or shower. But it is my opinion that it does not seem to be a good choice for older adults who may be very unsteady or have limited physical movement abilities.. It attaches to the shower wall or bathtub edges with 2 suction cups. It's fairly easy to attach but it does take some strength to attach firmly. Make sure the surface you are attaching it to is clean, dry and smooth. If it's not then this grip bar will come loose easily. Considering these points, I can give it only 3 stars. I feel if you need it only for a child or very small stature adult, it should work fine for your needs and I can recommend it. If you need something for someone with limited physical ability then I don't feel its a good choice for you. I was provided with this product free of charge in exchange for my honest review and opinions.
was trying to order the multipack of to each for two packages which gave me for safety groups unfortunately they packed the wrong item that was one each so I only got two instead of four extremely disappointed needs to be more clear so can order enough
Got this for my husband to use after a surgery just to help balance. Bar pops off after about 30 seconds. Do not waste your money.
