I bought this so I could ride with my son. He won’t get his until Christmas, so I won’t either! Same as the other bike, I pulled it out of the box to inspect and it looks like it’s all there and wow, the blue is beautiful! I was also struck by the quality of the polished gear on this model too. I really hope both bikes ride perfectly when I put them together no december because the warranty on most things is only 30 days. But so far I’m happy! Got two bikes on sale for a total of 400. Can’t beat that!
Overall a well made bicycle. Im 6'1 and can ride it just fine. Its got good wide tires. Came delivered in a box half assembled. Box was torn a bit. Assuming from all the transfers. Had minor scuffs and scratches. Instructions describes about every bicycle they made. Not just the specific bicycle purchased. Easy enough to assmble though. Nice bicycle for an older teen or adult. So far so good.
Good quality, easy to build. Rides very nice as well.
Great bike for my 9 year old! It was easy to set up and appears to be very sturdy. He loves the bike!
Bike was for my 14 year old son for his birthday. Bike went together very well and he loves it. Great bmx bike for an even better price.
One of the only bikes from mongoose that’s worth getting if ur somewhat serious assembly was easy and smooth except mine had a faulty front tire. returned original one and getting a new one bike is slightly heavier than expected but no biggy. if ur serious but on a budget for a bmx, this is a great pick
This is my first BMX bike since I was kid, maybe 18 years ago. It looks and feels great, seems well built and rides nice. Definitely seems to be a good entry/recreational level bike and can probably hold up to some harder riding. I haven't done much riding yet but I am excited to get back into it. My only complaint is how the front hub arrived. The nuts were cranked down so tight it took all my might (and some damage to the nuts and fork paint) to get it loose. I ended up getting one side loose by propping up the wheel and hitting the wrench with a hammer. To get the other side loose, I put the wheel on so it was outside the fork and tightened it down, then repeated the hammering approach. This took the paint off the out of the fork. Not a big deal I guess since it's covered by the nut. Not sure if this is how they all arrive, but it would be nice if they weren't put on so tight.
Likes : Lightweight and easy to ride. Dislikes : Cheap proprietary manufactured seat with short seat post
Gotta say easy to assemble however the issues that I don’t like about the bike is one the mass production of the handlebars where they painted the part there not suppose to which caused them to slip on serval rides at first like 5 times already since riding serval times I have had to readjust the handlebars they kept moving forward I tighten the neck as much as possible where it grips same results so far seems to have done better since most the paint is gone the only other issue is it could be a bit more lighter to compete a bit more with the higher end bikes other then that some better pedals and a half link chain would of been cool but for the price u can’t beat it coasting is wonderful gotta love it and it sure can take a beating jumping off high crubs great park bike and or concrete slab riding bike love it It is a fixed cassette hub in the rear wheel. 40 psi is not enough in the tires they say 60 is the max I put 65 and I love it. Do need some lighter tires to reduce some weight. Maybe find some lighter rims and some better pedals. I mean you’re gonna end up putting money in it regardless to get it the way you want. I’ve took this bike on the pavement on the sidewalk. I’ve took it to the park. I’ve rode up and down the Bayou. Like I said, it’s a great bike.
Bike is great, but had to bring to a bike shop in order to put together. One of the parts was seized, couldn’t get it to budge so had to bring to a bike shop to loosen in order to put front tire on. Very disappointed kid, because he had to wait to ride, but overall happy after all was fixed.
