The game is brilliant. All the intensity and fun of the board game, but not the lengthy playing time to complete a game. In approx. 20-30 mins, your game is completed with a winner and everyone is immediately wanting to start a new game and seek revenge! Hours of fun and interaction with friends and family. :-) I totally recommend this game.
I've played this game before--all of us have. Monolopy is an old school classic. But this ain't your father's game. If you've avoided Monopoly like the plague because it took several minutes to set up and several hours to play, then you will love this updated version (after you learn all the rules written on the cards). Thankfully, they've included many quick start cards to explain them. I bought this as a gift for my daughter. She requested it actually. Proof that several generations can agree that it great; Millennials and Gen-Xers alike.
Bought this a month ago and I play everyday. You can play with 2-6 people. I was afraid this version would be a limited selection of cards. But it is indeed the full version. So cheap too!
I love this game.....I bought a new set of cards after heavily using the old ones for 4 years. Its fast paced and you can gang up on opponents with 3 or more players. To win you need to be the first to get 3 sets of properties. You acquire property sets which can contain wild cards and force other players to pay you rent for them. If they can't pay with money, you get their properties to secure a faster win.....but watchout! skilled players can hold cards and win without anybody seeing it coming.....you can change up the rules to make it more interesting and shorten or extend game play.
We purchased Monopoly Deal online a few weeks ago. My two teenaged children often play several games in a row. The speed and laughter is infectious and they have introduced this new spin to their friends. Faster play and portability make this a great innovation.
Bought this for Christmas for the family but we couldn't wait until then. The whole family of 5 love it. Even our four year old is understanding the concepts. Been playing this every night. Much fun! Tried to go to a local retailer to get another set at our local retailer since our deck is already getting a lot of wear (in a good way). Great game, simple concepts to pick up. If you like Monopoly and card games, this is a faster way to play! 5 thumbs up in our household!
This is a quick, but fun game and the best part is that it doesn't cost much. It arrived at my local Walmart ahead of schedule. The only thing that would have made my experience better would have been if the store had already had the game on their shelves.
The colors on the Monopoly Deal cards varied so much that it was hard to match up property sets. This was especially true with shades of blue. Confusing to 2 adults, it would be even harder for kids to manage. I have purchased other Monopoly “Deal” cards that did not have this problem, and wish I hadn't gone for the cheaper version thru Walmart. The photo shows the 3 different colors for Broadway and Park Place on the left, and the 4 different colors for Connecticut, Oriental, and Vermont Avenues on the right.
5-starts for the game, 5-starts for the seller, 1 start for this specific product. I have played this game before and highly recommend it; however, this version had major issues with the coloring. The coloring did not come close to the original board game; Boardwalk and Park place were two different shades of blue, with Park Place the same shade as Oriental, Vermont, and Connecticut, which were not light blue by any stretch of the imagination. The red and magenta were almost identical. The coloring is important in order to play this card game; some of the action cards are subject to specific colors. The instructions were printed on two cards with print sooooo small you need a magnifying glass to read it. The original Monopoly Deal game we played had colors that closely matched the board game. This one must be a counterfeit knock-off. It was returned.
This item did not ship directly through Wallmart, but another side company. When I opened the package, the game box looked tattered and used, and could easily open to the cards inside. The cards inside were tightly sealed but still seemed a bit worn. Very disappointing and I will never be shopping through Walmart online again.
