Monopoly Game: At Home Reality Edition Family Board Game

Our family has been playing Monopoly forever and I feel like this new and relevant edition takes it to another level. The memories that we're making as a family with this new edition are sparking tons of conversations about our current reality, which I think is really fun. We'll definitely have lots to talk about with future generations based on this game.

Since I am used to the old school Monopoly game we made sure we throughly read the directions as there are some changes to the old rules. Our favorite change was the 'baby" following through the game. I would highly recommend this as we have spent hours playing this over and over again. Its a fun competive game that allows the family to have quality time together. Two thumbs up!!

Really helps with understanding money and how choices you make and things you buy can cost you money. Also spending money to make money. Addition and subtraction are constantly being used, also paying attention to being paid. How auctions work, and inflation on property as well as deals for items.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were beyond tickled to finally get our hands on the Monopoly At Home Reality Game. It did not disappoint! Its the Monopoly game you know and love with some cool new features. Our family has nicknamed it the Covid quarantine edition of Monopoly. All the spaces on the board are places around your home, railroads are different delivery services, and utilities are streaming services. The game pieces (car, dog, hat) are "social distancing" so no two pieces can share the same spot. And in this version there is a child that everybody moves at each turn. The dice are a little different, one has red dots-the other one is the normal black dots. Just like regular Monopoly the last person standing (with thr most cash) wins. Our family really enjoyed it. Family game night felt updated to some of what's going on around us. This edition is definitely a keeper and now in our rotation of Family game night games. We played with 3 people and finished in a little under 3 hours. LOTS OF FUN!!

It looks like it's a good game. Haven't opened it yet because it is a Christmas gift, but Walmart says I'll get $5 off if I place a review within 48 hours

As a gift to our grandsons, this Family Friendly game quickly became a staple at the game table. While parents assisted in the 9 and 12 year olds grasping the basics they quickly adapted and now are able to play without further guidance. The Monopoly/ Hasbro people always provide a quality product, which is exactly what we found it to be.

This is a good game with a modern twist. Properties are functional businesses and the added baby is a relevant feature as you have to pay money for the baby when you are on the same property kind of like childcare expenses. The chance and community chest cards have been updated. One negative is that there is nothing to hold the money in the bank it kind of just sits there.

Overall it's not bad when it's on sales. When it's not, I would recommend passing. Property cards edges are sharp so it's hard to grab for kids. Money was printed on such a thin paper it's really hard to grab and it's easy to be bent. Dice size is meant to be used my children.
