I bought 5 different lengths of cables for the guys to install 3 TV's along a 60 foot wall. This one was used on one of the two closer ones. I got every cables in a different color so I know at the desk where the Blackbird distribution box is what cable goes to what set. The only problem is that the Entegrade cables, of which we have one left, destroy the connectors in the Blackbird, and I have to use twist ties to hooked the cables in. That sucks!
You can't beat these cable ends. I have plenty of other ethernet cords with the "half-bubble" type plastic protecting the lever. When that is plugged into the back of the computer, you basically have to jam your thumb in there with some force to be able to actually press it in and release it. On the back of a desktop, often it's in a half inch or so recessed area. And it's under the desk. It's hard to get to already. Who needs it to be even harder to release the darn cable with a harsh release lever cap? Not me.
The cable arrived within a reasonable amount of time, and it looks fine. To be honest, though, I haven't used it so far because I was just looking for a backup alternative if my wireless router stops working. So, the five stars are for prompt delivery -- and the fact that it looks just like I would expect a cable to look.
I got an email asking me to review this so here it goes: This is a good cable and exactly what is advertised. I plugged one end in an ethernet port and the other in an ethernet port and data travels between them.
Always like the products you carry and of course the quick service you always pro vide. You are always my first and only source for all my cable needs. Thanks for being there. T
Works exactly as it should. The connector and jacket easily took abuse from my install (tugging and abrasion while pulling it through various areas). The jacket cut cleanly and punch-down at the far end was straightforward.
What can I say? They are network cables and they work. A little stiff if you need to rotate one of the connectors to fit a patch bay. I wish they offered 9" cables.
I am replace old cables that both have clips on connection broke that are cat5e, I am also have different issue with my Wired connect just randomly say page cant be found way to often. and modem is not disconnecting but router does have dns issues. After I get these i suspect I will be calling spectrum
I decided to give these a try. They are OK, but I just tried to remove one from a cramped space and found myself fighting it. The protective covering that is part of the molded boot is stiffer than the thinner 'quarter sphere' version of a protective cap. The protection on these tends to slide to the side if you are not able to push directly down.
Nice looking cable but the clip on it is not adequate to hold the cable fully inserted so it keeps falling out and I lose my connection. Not impressed
