Monoprice 13932 USB A TO MICRO B CABLE_ 10FT BLACK

These cables fit my RX100vi perfectly - some micro B USB cables do not. The cables evidently have a lower (=bigger) wire gauge than some others, allowing faster charging. But note that these cables do not fit an older Samsung tablet with a micro B USB port. It almost seems like there are two different standards used for these connectors. I am glad that virtually all new portable devices use USB C connectors. I have not come across any physical incompatibility between any of the USB C connectors or cables.

Excellent transaction and item. I purchased a rechargeable headlamp elsewhere that didn't include the charger. This worked perfectly.

I am using these USB cables for workshops with the BBC micro:bit. It's nice to have 3' cable and these come in nice bright colors that make it easy to collect them at the end of the workshop. I've only done one workshop with the so far and they worked fine. They are thinner than many other USB cables so I'm not sure how well they will last but they are very affordable (important for educators).

Thinner cable than expected, but it was a dollar. No complaints at that price, and no problems yet. I bought two because I abuse these cables anyway, but for that price I could go through ten of these and still be ahead of the game. I salute you, Monoprice. Your cheap cables have given me some happiness after my gf left. And as a bonus, I can keep my phone charged in case she calls back.

Works for charging my PS4 controller. I'm always careful to remove cords properly and not yank them out by the cord itself, so we'll see how long it lasts with proper care. The length prevents the risk of forgetting it's plugged in and yanking it out by mistake.

I ordered 5 of these because I know they won't last long and I will have to constantly replace them. The first cable that I used was pretty disappointing, it lasted around a week then it gave out and had constant issues staying connected. Second is doing fine and I'm still using this one, it's lasted around 2-3 weeks so far and going. I only expect a month or so usage out of each of these as they tend to go out quicker when used on a PS4 controller. I'd give it a 3 star due to the first one giving out soon, but the price is low enough to not make that a big deal, and the second seems to be working fine. Hopefully the other 3 don't have issues.

Normally, these cables are great. I have purchased a set about every year or two, and wore them out before they broke. The prongs that clip into the phone/tablet get to a point where they just don't hold. This last set the prongs were just not large enough. They already fall out, and do not hold. Maybe the phone is worn out, or the prongs were rounded off in manufacturing. They just don't stay in.

No 8ft option. 6ft is too short and 10ft is too long. Sheathing causes cable to sit in ways you don't want. I bought a bulk pack of these to go through as my PS4 controller eats a cable every few months to the point it rapidly disconnects if moved slightly and nothing fixes it besides replacing the cable. The length gives you a lot of freedom and lets you use it for a variety of things, but 8ft is about the distance to use a gamepad comfortably with a standard PC desk setup, and it's not here. 10 leaves a lot of slack, and while probably still better in the end, the sheathing is too rigid and sticks up in the air and in directions you don't want to it and it's impossible to push it down out of the way of say your keyboard. Unfortunately, none of the braided USB cables offered on monoprice go above 6ft that I've found (type-C notwithstanding, which is not applicable to most USB devices). The sheathing of this has caused me more frustration than it should've, and unless I literally tape it down and restrict freedom of my movement, I can't justify using these for input devices.

I have now received two cables from Mono price that did not match the specifications on which I had searched. They are so cheap, a couple of dollars each plus about three dollars postage, it really isn't worth the bother of returning them. I just trashed them, and ordered the right cable from Amazon.
