So for, so good Not high end but not trash either. Has a nice punch with ny Squier Affinity P/J bass, which is quite well made for it's price point . Also, I have a Epiphone Viola bass and need to play through this amp to see if it makes nice tone

I bought this as a Christmas present for myself. I have not played bass for a while and had no equipment. I wanted a practice amp with at least a 10 inch speaker and 20 watts. I just happened to find this jewel. Man a 40 Watt, 10 inch speaker, compressor effect built in, audio player input, headset for silent playing and if I get to gig it has an XLR output. Absolute perfection i'm so happy. No body is selling these not even Monoprice.

I have several other pieces of monoprice audio equipment and I have been happy with the value of theirproducts. Would have troublefindinganythingclose to price at same quality in most cases. This is a solid amp. Have not used heavily, but no issues so far. sounds great, reasonably powerful and has DI out built in which is a plus.

I like the fact that you can plug headphones into it so that it doesn't bother anybody else. I've been practicing all night.

For the price it's unbelievable. Sounds, good features. Good for a practice amp or a small venue..

I am probably spoiled in that I have a Peavy 15" Black Widow amp and a Gallien Kruger amp which I use when I play out. However, they are not always handy when I want to practice (They each weigh about 75 pounds and are somewhat awkward to move, so I keep them in the garage near the car I transport them in). I tell you this because it is an explanation of my thoughts on this amp: It seems to be well made. It doesn't compare to the bass sound I get from my other amps. It is easily transportable. I have used it at a small venue, and by working with the tone knobs it produced a satisfactory sound. It is economically priced. Overall, this is a very good value for the money and despite it's limitations I would recommend it to someone looking for a practice or small venue amp.

well packaged works great

This is my second Stage Right amplifier. I have been very pleased with the sound and quality of both amps. My only concern on this amp (Stage Right 40W 10" Bass Combo Amp) is that the 1/4" "input" port doesn't hold the guitar cord in securely. As you can see in the photo, I am using a 32' coiled cord. If I move too far away from the amp, the cord jack pulls out of the "input" port. With the 32' cord, I can only move 12' away before the cord pulls out of the amp. I know I can resolve this with wireless transmitters, receivers system, but don't think that should be necessary.

I like this amp. I'll just use it at home in a 12' x 12' room where I keep my musical instruments. Early indications are it will be fine for this purpose.

Wanted a baas amp. Need 60 watt. Never opened. Sent back .
