Monoprice Monolith 28 Inch Speaker Stand

Ivke June 30, 2021

Nice stand, easy to assemble, sturdy. Couple of comments for audiophiles. If you want to fill the pillars, there's four of them on each stand, so it took me 10kg (22lbs) of aquarium gravel to fill them up and there was about 1-2 inches (3-5cm) left. Different heights to choose from (24in, 28in, 32in), high load bearing capacity (100lbs, 45kg) and decent size of top shelf (6"x8.5", 6cmx21.5cm) make it really good choice for many bookshelf speakers (I use them with Klipsch RP-600M).

Monolith Speaker review - Excellent!

MICHAELKO May 7, 2026

Exactly what I was looking for and they worked perfectly. The only comment I have, is that I have a vinyl floor and needed rubber feet for the stands instead of the carpet spikes that they come with??.easily resolved with a quick trip to Menards!

High Quality

NeilM December 5, 2022

I am 100% impressed and very happy with my new Monolith stands. I wanted a stand that was heavy-duty, well-made, and aesthetically beautiful and I got all three of those - and for a very good price! I filled my stands with sand to make them even a little more sturdy but the gauge of steel was thick enough that they would have been fine even without the sand. My speakers weigh 23 pounds and they sit just fine on the tops of the stands. Very impressive quality!

Great speaker stands!

Anonymous May 4, 2020

Shipped safely. Assembly was easy and straight forward. The stands provide my Klipsch RP 160M with a heavy stable platform. Did not fill them with any sand and planted firmly on carpet. Don't seem to add any resonance to the sound. Very satisfied.

Monolith pedestals

Homaudius March 31, 2019

These pedestals have added to the “stylish new/old look” and the “ pro studio at home sound I was wanting and going for. They provide a great support for my speakers, leaving me without worries about falls even when cranked up for hours. Great solid good looking product.

A well made stand.

Anonymous January 18, 2020

I was very impressed with the quality of these stands. The tubes were all cut square and equal length. The welds all looked good and they bolt together to form a very ridged stand without any gaps for the fill material to leak out. Each stand holds about 20 pounds of play sand. I made a funnel from a plastic orange juice bottle with a neck that fit inside the tube and it worked perfectly. I also mounted a hardwood plate plate for my Polk LSiM 703 speakers to rest on. The steel is thick enough to drill and tap. I used one bolt in the center so you can adjust the angle of the speakers.

Best buy in stands I found.

GeorgeH January 4, 2022

Super stands when modified. Ring like a bell when assembled and speakers would fly right off the top. 30 lbs of sand and some Gorilla double sided tape that comes in black solved both of those. So less than $10 to solve both of those. One gripe in todays world the fasteners would work better if Torx or square headed ones where used. You have to spend about $125 each to get stands that did not seem superior in any way.

Excellent speaker stands

B January 8, 2023

Excellent speaker stands I filled both tubes with aquarium gravel so there?s not any vibration. With the aquarium gravel it makes it a lot more sturdy and won?t move f it gets bumped. A 20 pound bag works well may get another one to top them off. That being said they are made very well and look great purchased some black zip ties to pull the speaker cables between the back space to secure them and keep them out of sight.

Solid, heavy speaker stands

Will V June 21, 2021

I filled all four columns on each stand with aquarium sand, it was very easy and I did it indoors with very little mess using a plastic funnel and a measuring cup. Each stand took 15 pounds/6.8 kg of sand, and I believe with the sand each stand weighs about 35 pounds each. I started to install the floor spikes, but I ran into a difficult thread on one of the stands. I decided to go ahead and use the stands without the spikes, as I'm on thin berber type carpet over a concrete basement floor, and I think the sand negates the need for the spikes anyway, at least on this floor. I did get some large adhesive non-slip pads from the hardware store to use between my speakers and the stands, the stands come with some very thin dots that don't look like they would provide enough grip. I've also read that people have success using a product like blue tacky adhesive between speakers and stands, I may try that at some point. Overall these are very nice stands for the money, I think.
