Stout unit with a well thought out design. The brackets that mount on the TV clip onto the top of the wall bracket allowing for easy one person mounting.
The bracket was easy to install and is great quality
So far, so good. We'll see how it holds up to the elements over time. As with most things I've received from Monoprice, quality looks good. Mounted on brick/masonry with two 5/16" Tapcon's and it is solid as a rock. Only improvement I might suggest, is making a spring actuated locking mechanism that engages the mounts on the TV, as opposed to the screws that are on their now. We have an indoor mount like of that design. Doing this would allow for easy removal, and storage of the TV when not in use. Right now I've not used the screws because that would be a hassle to take it down.
I have 4 screen wall mounts from MP. They're all great, very easy to install, well documented instructions (though its so simple to install they're not really needed - but appreciated) Everything you need except maybe a nut-driver for the lag bolts is included and smartly packaged. Great product, great price, For the ones bigger than this - you may need a helper to hold while you measure/align/mount - but this one and smaller once go up in minutes and can be a one person task.
Seems very sturdy! Was fairy easy to mount the brackets on the tv after I went and bought some shorter screws (the thicker ones). Getting the brackets to hang on the mount went nicely. I was a bit surprised because I was doing it without having anyone around to help guide it into place. Looks great!!
I chose this bracket after looking at the several options that would work for our outdoor tv based on the guide provided on the website. Install was straightfoerward, looks great!
Overall this TV mount is great, it fit my needs perfectly and works great after a few hiccups. I've used Monoprice wall mounts, cables, etc. for years now and they are definitely great value. The only complaints I have are that the instructions were a little vague/non-existent for some of the adjustments. When installing, the bracket on the wall was level however the section that the TV hangs on was not. In trying to resolve this I ended up shearing off a bolt trying to tighten it up. Turns out that one side of the plates is threaded and there is a nylock nut also on it. You need to tighten the bolt and only snug the nut for added security. I held the bolt and overtightened the nut and it sheared. Luckily I was able to pick up a bolt from the hardware store same day and got the TV hung and all leveled.
I affixed this mount to my wall ensuring the plate was perfectly plumb and when collapsed against the wall, that the tv mount was also perfectly level. Once I attached the TV, however, it was no longer level. The instructions show that you should be able to level the mount on the tv, but there is no instruction on how do do this. The only screws on the mount seem to adjust the forward and back tilt. Has anyone figured this out or is it just false advertising?
Although it says it's for a 100 inch. It is not. the width of the frame does not go with the with of the holes in the back of the T.V.
I have this holding a 75" TV weighing 70lbs. The bracket when extended sags about 2" lower with TV mounted, so keep this is mind when measuring your installation height. The tilt screws do not hold enough friction to keep the mount from tilting with a TV this size when moving it around. The worse part of the mount though is that it is impossible to use the 3 degrees of rotation. Unfortunately my TV is a little heavier on one side, so the whole mount rotates/torques slightly and is not correctable with the rotation. The end result is a slightly slanted TV. I would not recommend this mount for anything near 70 lbs, let alone the max weight of 110lbs. I regret this purchase, and my future self is not going to be happy installing something else.
