Love these!

Anonymous May 9, 2019

I use several of these in my DJ business and love them. They coil and uncoil nicely and feel extremely durable. I was showing off the heavy-duty construction to a fellow DJ and he dissed them because the ends had screws and "screws loosen". I have NEVER had that happen with these cables, but if it did... I own a screwdriver! Would buy again.

Unbeatable value

Anonymous March 6, 2020

These are simply the best mic cables I've ever used. Everything I do is mobile/portable, so I'm constantly transporting, unpacking, uncoiling, using indoors and outdoors on many surfaces, recoiling, repacking, transporting...over and over again. These hold up better than anything else I've ever used. Had these over five years and still performing like day 1! I've had so many people ask me where to get these after seeing them in use.

Working Great

Anonymous November 15, 2020

Couldn't find my normal cables. Bought some new ones. One had a disconnection in the fitting. Rather than use and risk, I researched for more. Saw these on someone's web site discussing cables. Looked them up, bought some, and I'm really pleased. They look nice. They feel really hefty, more so than any other mic cables I've used. They snap into place with a solid fit. The price is significantly less than anything else I researched in its spec category. I'm recording remote drum tracks for an album, using a ZOOM H8, another new acquisition. Two mics overhead and one on the kick and everything is working out well. Great cables. If I need more, I know where to go.

Profesional grade cable at a great price

Cyril V April 27, 2021

Gave this as a gift to a friend who is a professional musician. He rated it as equivalent to a cable that cost 5x as much. He is very active on stage and says the cable took all the movement without any issues. The cable assembly is durable and well made.

Female end gold piece cover came off. Rare Issue

FaussG February 15, 2022

Your cables are great. Cable no problem what so ever. I have plenty lengths 15ft, 25ft, 35ft. Sometime I need to tighten the screws, because they would work themselves loose at times. But the recent purchase of one of the two the 35ft cables. the female end gold piece came off, just the gold piece cover part. It appears that it crimps over the black plastic piece that hold the 3 pins. I tried pushing back in place, but could not. I had to bend back the circular crimped end to fit it back over the black plastic pin holder, then crimped it back over the lip of the black plastic pin holder. i think it will hold up now. I wanted to share is rare issue with you.

Premier XLR cable saves the day!

WilliamGW September 8, 2023

I needed an expensive but well-made XLR cable to hook up a subwoofer in my A/V system. I chose the Premier series cable in 25-foot length (the sub sits at the rear of the room, about 20 feet from the A/V preamp). My main priority/requirement was that the cable jacket had to be robust enough to be exposed the last few feet after snaking under furniture on its way to its final destination (the sub). The Premier cable filled this need very nicely - it has a heavy-duty PVC jacket, giving the cable unexpected weight for its price. The connectors are of adequate quality and fit very securely at both ends. The cherry on top is that the cable performs flawlessly, delivering the signal to the sub without added noise or distortion. IMO, this cable is a great bargain.

Found a bad one

Gearmode August 19, 2019

Heavy jacket can be great or a pain. Flexibility vs stompability. Connectors are fine. I took all my Monoprice cables apart and inspected each. I found one wire broke off of pin 2. Also noted in many cases the jacket was trimmed a bit short and missed one of the clamp strain reliefs. I re-soldered and slightly preloaded each cable then clamped again. The wire is heavy but I think the wire was not tinned enough and split right at the solder point edge. Still, it was a great deal of work and it made the price less wonderful. I would likely be just as well off with a pile of cables from Rockville and they'd be more flexible.

Died in under 15 hours of use

Blake P January 27, 2020

This cable was used in a studio, used very gently. It took about 10 hours of use until the sound started cracking and 5 hours of use until it was nothing but crackles and noise, nothing coming from the mic at all. I took off the plate near the connection, and its a mess. I don't think this was put together correctly to begin with. I am attempting to fix it but requested a replacement from Monoprice for the shoddy cable.

maybe it'll work, maybe it won't

Debbie K August 16, 2020

ordered several of the 75ft cables, several were useless in a few uses. Connectors come apart, and another just doesn't pass audio. go buy the DMX/AES cable instead as it is a great audio cable. This cable is cheap as is it's price, it's like gambling if they work or don't work.
