I have been really enjoying this water tap surge protector. The lights definitely help at night when the little ones are going to the bathroom or getting up. I'm able to plug-inOur USB items such as tablets and phones while also being able to use the plug-in for fans TVs etc. It's very light weight and we haven't had any issues with it in our socket. We actually use it for our Christmas tree and our lights in our window and I'm just amazed at how versatile it is
I needed something like this for my home computer area. I needed something accessible for all my plugins. Now I don't have to crawl underneath the desk to switch out cords. Also the usb outlet is another bonus when I just need to charge my phone. I would highly recommend this!
I went looking for and outlet adapter with a functioning nightlight and walked away incredibly happy with not only the light, but two USB ports. Light has a switch for on/off or it can be set to detect light levels and to turn on automatically if needed.
This was exactly what I need when I was looking for a surge protector and adapter that allows me to turn one single electrical outlet into six. The convenience of not having to have cords snaking through the room or using extension cords is no longer a problem or eyesore. Also I feel good knowing my electronics are protected in the event of a power surge/ lightening strike. This is so much affordable than having to buy brand new electronics. And I was so pleased with the nightlight which is something I've never seen on one of these before. It feels it is made of great quality, not cheap material. Easy set up in minutes and it is actually very easy on the eyes and looks high tech. Will be ordering more for me and as Christmas gifts.
I really like this and it has been put to the test. I have been having issues with power surges during storms. Although i unplug things when I'm awake storms while we are sleeping is another story obviously. In the past I have lost a tv and a kids CD player due to surges. We had a nasty thunder lightning storm a few days ago and my first instinct was to unplug my 55 inch tv, but I didn't. No surges. This little box cut it off for me… No damage. It happened twice during the day long storm. I am very pleased and plan on buying a few more for other items in the house.
This wall tap surge protector is easy to install. It takes up a whole outlet and gives you 6 outlets plus two usb ports. I love the whole look. Its black and looks super heavy duty. Its the perfect size. Not to big and clunky, but big enough for several things to be plugged in at once. I like that it fit flat and snug with no wiggling around. This wall tap surge protector also has a light at the bottom which i like. It has 3 settings. Bright, low, and off. The bright really isnt that bright, but its bright enough. The switch to change the setting is on the side of the surge protector. The two USB, ports are very convenient and straight forward to use. I tend to loose the wall plug to my phone chargers so this saves me from having to keep buying or borrowing them. Overall this is a great surge protector and i definitely recommend it
This multi-plug outlet is an efficient solution to my not-enough-outlets issue. The fact that it comes with 2 usb outlets is even better, not to mention the built-in 3-mode nightlight. It has also eliminated the clutter of corded outlets that I used to have. The only downside with it is that if my plugs are big or wide it takes up space and the other outlets can't be used.
I'm not really sure what to say about this product - it's a surge protector... it isn't terribly exciting. It works well. I haven't been electrocuted. My appliances that are plugged into it still work. As far as I can tell it is functional and effective at fulfilling its purpose.
It's double grounded (not sure of the terminology), so you're limited with where you can place it. You'll need to place it somewhere that will allow for it. I've attached a picture so you can see what I mean. When sticking it into the wall, I needed to place it up top, so it would fit, which only gained me one additional place to plug things in. Not really worth it if you're just going to get the version with three. Although the USB opening is nice. Overall, pretty good.
What I like most about this product is that it expanded the 2 outlets next to my couch, where I often work on my laptop, to 6 while offering 1200 joules of surge protection. Therefore it gives me peace of mind when leaving my laptop or other electronics plugged into it. The LED nightlight is a nice feature and bonus, with the ability to turn it off completely for power conservation. Perhaps this wall tap surge protector was created with the intention for travel or moving around to different outlets, because it lacks a screw to hold it affixed to your outlet. This means that unless you hold onto the unit while unplugging your device, the entire unit will pull out of the wall outlet with the plug. Again, this may be ideal for moving around to different rooms or for travel, but I would prefer to have a center screw available to keep more permanently affixed.
