Monster Jam Sheet Cake

We have been ordering custom birthday cakes for our son from the Walmart bakery for several years now. We got a different cake once or twice, but only because it was too late to order from Walmart. We always get the whipped topping, rather than the buttercream frosting, because the whipped topping is less sweet and super creamy. We always get the raspberry or strawberry filling, and they have a “marble” option for the cake, for those who love both chocolate AND vanilla cakes, or just can’t decide between the two. These cakes are always SO DELICIOUS and look super cute! We have done a different theme for each birthday, they have a catalog full of different themes, so there’s something for everyone. We’ve done everything from Super Mario, Monster Jam, Jurassic Park, to soccer, to camping/outdoor theme for our son throughout the years. The cake was always ready on time, and the bakery ladies are usually pretty friendly and helpful. You can also order and pay online, which I’ve done the last couple of years, or order with the bakery ladies at the store. They have always also put a custom message on the cake (for example: Happy 8th Birthday Elijah). The ladies write it on the cake themselves, but it always looks professional. All in all, we’ve been really happy with the Walmart bakery custom cakes, and I’ve been recommending them to my family, and neighbors. Oh, and the price is very reasonable too, especially considering how much things cost these days. We always get the half sheet size, and it’s under $50 every time. Try them out, you won’t regret it!

I did not like that my store only has one decorator so they sent me to a different location. it also took a long time to get assistance just like everything else at this store. I don't even bother to ask for help at 136th and I 25 and try to avoid the deli and bakery as much as possible.

Not like the picture but that I liked it better anyway! And I had a feeling it wouldn’t come with the monster truck, which it didn’t, so that part shouldn’t be displayed. It was an awesome cake though so still 5/5 for me. In the second picture we added our own monster trucks

Normally we get Costco cakes because we like the filling. I wanted a specific theme (Monster Trucks) for my son's third birthday. I opted to use Walmart since they have so many licensed characters available. I got the whippy icing and it was so incredibly delicious. I'm now ordering another cake for another birthday party.

I usually love Walmart cakes, but this cake was different. It looked wonderful and what I was expecting, EXCEPT for the taste. The taste of the frosting was very sour/spoiled tasting. I was highly disappointed and glad I had backup cupcakes for the party. The cake was picked up 1/2 hour before the party and on a cold day as well and was stored in fridge till it was time to eat.

The cake tasted good. The reason for 2 stars, we requested writing in gray, instead we got it typed in black. We also had to go back to the store before our party as the decorator did not have the truck on the cake. This is the first time we ran into these issues as I get mistakes happen but also, we were told this was the 4th cake missing the correct toy/decoration

I didn't like this because when I ordered the cake for my son's birthday. It doesn't say anything about being the edible design. When you bite into the slice of cake it's really chewy from the edible design layer and takes stile. First time getting a cake like this from the bakery I wouldn't recommend it again. I was very disappointed. Even my friends said it tastes awful.

I've been getting my cakes from Walmart for a while now, I've never had any issues but what I received this time is unacceptable. Apparently their printer wasn't working to finish the cake so they decided to add their own horrible design to my cake, they didn't even try! When I picked up my cake %26 took a look at it I was so confused because it was not what I was expecting to see, I let them know that it wasn't what I ordered %26 they went to the back to see if they gave me the wrong cake but they came back saying that was my order, but even the person who handed it to me said I should've received a call to let me know my cake wasn't going to be what I ordered at alllllll, I would've simply canceled my order %26 tried another Walmart. I asked if I could at least get a refund or a discount %26 they said they would be able to give me a refund but no cake which sucks because the party was the day of so I had to take it as is. I couldn't even ask for the manager because I was running late already, the worse part was that it was a gift for my nephew %26 everyone knew what the cake was supposed to look like so showing up with what I got was so embarrassing. My thing is that if they would've at least shown some effort, I wouldn't have minded but they were so careless about everything from the way the cake looked to accommodating for not being able to at least give me a refund. LUCKILY the cake was delicious but very disappointed in their work.

1) They didn’t give the Monster Jam design I asked for. 2) the bakery women kept telling ‘a wrong cak is better than no cake’ 3) I ask her to get a manager to address the price of the cake. She told me she didn’t know how to work the phone/ it was broken 4) I had to ask her to go find someone and she wondered over to someone, somewhere. The cake design I was provided didn’t look good. It was poor version of the second Monster Jam design. 5) the cake was suppose to have pudding layer, it did not. 6) also when I asked why they didn’t contact me, they told me they tried but the number was out of order. It was the wrong number, and I asked why they didn’t email me. I ordered the cake two weeks in advance.

I order this cake for my son’s birthday party two weeks in advance. When I picked it up the informed me that their printing machine was down so they had to free hand the design. When she showed me the cake I was in absolute shock and how it looked and was at a lost for words. I had to accept it because it was the day of his party and had no other option. It was definitely embarrassing having this cake on display. I wish they would have called me prior and I would have made other arrangements. I’m not sure how people in the bakery are hired if they can’t decorate a cake to look at least half way decent. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
