Monster Wall Tap Surge Protector, 6 Grounded Outlets & 2 USB Ports

I needed something like this for my home computer area. I needed something accessible for all my plugins. Now I don't have to crawl underneath the desk to switch out cords. Also the usb outlet is another bonus when I just need to charge my phone. I would highly recommend this!

This extension box is the coolest you can literally plug in 8 things at a time! 6 plug ins and 2 usb cords for your cell phone if you don't have a box. Or plug in your cell phones if your wire has box! Plug in to charge your Nintendo switch or laptop or even your lamp! I plugged 3 things in at once and all were charging and all got a great charge! There's a switch on left side that turns on the night light. Plugs into wall nicely and has a stick that goes into the bottom outlet while the box plugs into the top outlet. Hard plastic feels sturdy, monster is a great brand! Glad I chose this one!! I plugged this into my wall behind my couch I do wish they had the usb plug ins around the boarder of the monster box so that the wire doesn't bend with charge since behind my couch but still does the job!! A lot of charger boxes go missing in my house so this is super convenient. I highly recommend!

This is a great surge protector. It has a variety of features that make it very useful. I am currently using it for my Christmas tree setup, and it works great. I love the addition of the USB outlets. Sometimes it can be difficult to charge a phone with a charging brick, but the addition of the USB outlets on this surge protector makes it very easy to charge your phone or any device. The small light is another great addition. It is not too dim and not too bright. It illuminates the space beneath the surge protector, so it would be useful to use above a kitchen counter. I like how this surge protector seats in the wall outlet. It does not feel loose or like it will fall out. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and I highly recommend it.

Is easy to install, takes up a whole outlet but gives you 3 outlets plus 2 USB ports, everything works perfectly and you can charge all at once with any problem. It's sturdy, looks good quality material not heavy very well made and convenient. The best part besides all that it's that it has a night light on the bottom which is great, so you can see while you walk and easily access your wires in the dark. I am very happy with this outlet.

This multi-plug outlet is an efficient solution to my not-enough-outlets issue. The fact that it comes with 2 usb outlets is even better, not to mention the built-in 3-mode nightlight. It has also eliminated the clutter of corded outlets that I used to have. The only downside with it is that if my plugs are big or wide it takes up space and the other outlets can't be used.

Overall I'm pleased, and for the priNice and slim, have always trusted Monster products and was looking for a multi plug surge protector that could also let me know ‘visually' that my electronics were protected & grounded. Love that it has both little LED's on the front of the unit and that it fits nice and snug behind my bedroom TV console table. Overall I'm pleased, and for the price I'm willing to pay vs some of the No-Name stuff listed here, hoping it keeps my Tv and bedroom electronics in top shape. I would recommend this power surge protector because of the nightlight. Great for most kids bedrooms.

It's double grounded (not sure of the terminology), so you're limited with where you can place it. You'll need to place it somewhere that will allow for it. I've attached a picture so you can see what I mean. When sticking it into the wall, I needed to place it up top, so it would fit, which only gained me one additional place to plug things in. Not really worth it if you're just going to get the version with three. Although the USB opening is nice. Overall, pretty good.

I'm not really sure what to say about this product - it's a surge protector... it isn't terribly exciting. It works well. I haven't been electrocuted. My appliances that are plugged into it still work. As far as I can tell it is functional and effective at fulfilling its purpose.

This Multi outlet adaptor has all the features you would want plus one that you wouldn't expect. First it has six outlets. This sounds great but it's poorly designed. Most cell phone or tablets now use a charging block which because the outlets are not far enough apart blocks the use of the outlet next to it. You can see what I'm talking about in the pictures I added. Yes it does have 2 USB charging ports which most cell phones can use but some electronic like my tablet uses a block charger. This should be designed to allow block chargers to be used without compromising another outlet. This could easily be accomplished by having the outlets on each side instead of the front. Another issue with the outlets being in front is it really can't be used if it's behind an entertainment center or in my case behind the front of my bed. I tried using this behind my bed because there's an outlet directly in the center. Unfortunately because the outlets are in front I couldn't use this Outlet adaptor. The plugs were being smashed by the bed. Again it would greatly increase the places you could use this Outlet adaptor if the plugs were on the side. The 2 USB ports are great. Obviously most electronics now use USB. There is another feature that is useful. It has a nightlight. It's small but pretty bright. I tried to show the nightlight in one of the pictures. If you don't want this feature, no worries can be shut off. Overall this does work but I'm not a fan of it's design.

This review is for Monster 1200J Wall Tap Surge Protector: 6 Grounded AC Outlets, LED Nightlight Sensor with 3-Mode Light Settings. First Thoughts - To start, it was a little annoying getting it out the box, not super difficult, but it definitely could be improved. I'm also not a fan of the two different black finishes honestly. The sides are mirror shiny, and the front has almost a sparkle to it. I generally prefer a more matte finish for surge protectors so they don't attract attention. Also, the plastic, not metal for some reason, secondary ground pin on the back means this can't be used on a GFI Outlet which definitely limits it's use. Performance - Terrible. The outlets are so cramped that you can barely and I do mean barely get 6 things plugged in, and only if they're the smallest style plugs. The outlets themselves are both sloppy and too tight somehow. The openings of the outlets are too big making it sloppy, but then the metal receiver inside is too tight. The nightlight turns on a bit too early, and I don't like the "daylight" nightlight, a warmer LED would have been much nicer. Conclusion - I expected better from Monster. Been using their products for years, but this is a definite pass for me. Because even if it does provide reliable surge protection, the outlet design and spacing is terrible, and even the nightlight is subpar.
