Montara Handleset with Juno Knob - 553 Series - Complete Set

This is well constructed. You tell immediately by the feel. It fit perfectly as a replacement of an existing handle/lock combination. What I like most about this is that if it is unlocked from the inside it is unlocked from the outside. The previous handle/lock combination I could exit the house even if the door was in the locked position. This created the situation of being locked out thinking that the door was unlocked.

Easy to install. I like the ability to rekey and not having to purchase new keys for everyone in the household.

I am thoroughly impressed with this Kwikset lock.It completely exceeded my expectations for both security and daily convenience. The installation was simplistic and a total breeze. The build quality is incredibly premium with a flawless finish,the finish was modern and sleek. If you want a reliable, stylish and highly Secure lock that you can install yourself. I called Kwikset and explained that the polished brass finish was coming off. The representative had me send in a photo, they identified the current replacement and sent to me, FREE OF CHARGE, a new handle set. I was extremely pleased with the results. Consequently, I told friends and family of the superior support Kwikset has and advised them to purchase Kwikset higher line of products. I will never purchase another brand based upon my experience with Kwikset.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Montara Handleset when I had my front door replaced this past summer. It looks and works great, and love the SmartKey feature. I've installed Kwickset SmartKey locks on three entry doors, both handle and dead bolt, and on two utility doors in the garage. I did have an issue with re-keying the handleset cylinder though. Initial unsuccessful re-keying was performed by the door installer. The replacement handleset from Home Depot would also not re-key. Kwitckset send me a replacement cylinder that was easy to replace and worked properly, without the hassle and extra time of sending in the receipt. Although it would have been great if the original cylinder had worked properly, the great customer support has made me a loyal customer.

Bought this Handleset a little over a year ago and it works like a champ. The finish is another story. The Handleset itself has discolored, taking on a "yellowish" tint. The deadbolt itself does not seem to have suffered the same aging effect, making them not so much of a "set" anymore.

installed in late 2024. have had issues with the doorknob lock on and off since installation. original installer came out and reassembled the internals and it had no issues for about 8 months. would not lock, so called locksmith. they reassembled internals and worked on and off for a while. finally stopped working and called locksmith out again. reassembled internals and said that the assembly came out of the handle and they could put it back together but could not guarantee a permanent fix. deadbolt is fine, but locking cove know is not goodd-

bought this lockset over a year ago and both locks began not to properly function attempted to reprogram both top and bottom they worked for a little while and then the top stop working and the bottom stopped work as well.

I purchased this product..Montara Venetian Bronze Single Cylinder Door Handleset with Juno Entry Door Knob Featuring SmartKey Security by Kwikset On june 20th and installed it. It is now not properly working the bottom lock clicks and doesnt secure. Turn knob with lock not working
