Montchevre PLAIN Refrigerated Plastic Wrapped Goat Cheese Log 8 oz: Really great substitute for provolone or in addition to other cheeses on pizza! Longer/larger 8 oz. log best size, comes 4 oz too. Tastes smooth creamy not salty or strong cheesy bite. It's a very slight sweetness to the aftertaste. Pair with deli meats sausage to allow meat spices to predominate. Excellent upgrade, giving a gourmet touch to reg frozen pizza you 'dress up' / add toppings to at home, for less. Try adding to burritos, salads, pizza, or sub sandwich ... it melts pretty well so it's spreadable. I wish Walmart would keep this size in stock, the 4 oz. goes fast 8 lasts for all those items . Wrap well -it's messy due to creamy texture and can spoil left unpacked or exposed to air in fridge. Just a baggie or small plastic container of it's own. (Comes in papery cover usually, so it's in need of additional cover). It is a goat milk product after all. WALMART: pls Stock this more, so hard to come by the larger log in it! Try it out, it's like having Calif Pizza Kitchen gourmet pizza menu !

I really like this Chevre and the price point. Unfortunately, my Walmart never has enough on hand and I'm happy it made my delivery. Montchevre is creamy, tangy, and pairs well with whatever cream cheese is used for (though I haven't tried cheesecake or baked goods yet). Adding honey and walnuts or fruit makes it my own version of name brand cream cheese spreads, though I prefer it plain on toast or in sandwiches. it blends well for dips, too.

Great in a burrito. One large tablespoon of this goat cheese alongside one tablespoon of spicy salsa adds a unique flavor to my bowl of black beans. Melts nicely. Nothing fancy, yet has a slight flavor. Definitely a great alternative towards the fancy name brands. This is my new favorite.

love it on vegs, potatoes, english muffins, salads and anything else. Hate the plastic is in, take out put in small glass air tight container with plastic on top of the cheese. Hope price does not hike like many food items has.

I used this cheese as a substitute for cream cheese and it was really delicious in mini cheesecakes.

GREAT TASTE !!!! Best use so far that I've found for it is on toasted slice of french bread with bruschetta instead of mozerella.

While I prefer a local, fresh goat cheese this is great in a pinch! Good flavor, a little tangy on the after bite and dryer than I prefer but overall great flavor!

We are really big cheese fans. We try as many as we can..First time trying this and it's gross. maybe goat cheese is an acquired taste, maybe this rating is unfair. idk it was nasty and the taste lingered. not for me.

The delivery driver only brought three of my items instead of twelve so I can't really review this because they never delivered it. it's pretty idiotic how they asked me to review it.
