Very lite but strong, Have not used for concrete, but to cover a very expensive tool in strong wind and rain it held up great. Thought after storm it would be ribbed up but to my surprise it only had one some hole where got stuck to a tree limb. Glad it came in when it did Thank You.
Great for the handyman, professional or just for projects around the house. I was raised in the construction trade and would have been satisfied with it when I did that type of work for a living. And, even though I'm retired now, I still do a lot of projects around the house. I'm using this to repair a damaged concrete entry ramp and to add a concrete walkway. We're into the cold nights here and it really did its job on the thicker ramp pouring. It slowed down the cooling and allowed it to cure without cracking. I've already started the walkway and it's working great there too. We had a pretty heavy rain after finishing the first section and it served a double duty there. It's a top quality blanket. The tarp is 3 Mil thick and the inner padding is both lightweight and workable. It does the job and it's very easy to handle by one person. I couldn't find any shortcomings in it. I would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a good quality curing blanket.
I used the Moose Supply Concrete Curing Blanket, Orange 6' x 24'. Being that it is 3 pay material, it performed its job well. The orange color makes it easy to seeso caution is taken to protect the job. This material is rugged and should last for many uses.
Moore Tarps curing blankets are very good and really help cure concrete and after the curing you can park your motorcycle or lawn mower on the concrete and cover it with the Moore Tarp as it had 3layers of coated medium duty woven laminated polyethlene 3 mil thick and it is really great and durable for many projects that need a tough covering that lasts .There is complete information on the label and I have used and reused this Moore Tarp numerous times for a few months .It is tough easy was off and has not torn .Lasts better than any tarps I ever owned and I have had quite a few and this is best by far .Cold weather messes up concrete curing and this tarp is heavy enough to fix most weather related curing problems . Holds the heat from the concrete curing to make a strong cure and very tough concrete .Great bright orange color that is tear resistant and rust resistant aluminum grommets so you can fasten it down securely .No mildew has formed on this tarp .Double stitched .
Received this product and was surprised how light weight it was. Entire blanket weighs only 6.5 lbs. It is advertised as 6' x 24', but actual finished dimensions are 5.5' x 23.5'. Product is constructed with 3 mil woven polyethylene on top and bottom with 3/16" closed cell foam core sandwiched between them. The polyethylene layers enable an easy clean up. The blanket is easily manageable by one person. At 40° F this blanket will out-perform standard 6 mil plastic sheeting for a proper cure. This curing blanket could also be used as an emergency "tarp" in certain situations.
Although here in South Georgia it will be awhile before it gets to the 40s and test it as a concrete cure blanket. I can attest to the strength and water resistance. We had a fairly strong storm blow through about a week after receiving the tarp. Used it on a customer's house who had lost some shingles. It resisted the rain and wind much better than a standard blue tarp.
I have used this blanket when I was pouring my sons side walk a couple of weeks ago and it was great because of the over night frost we had, worked wonders to keep the fresh concrete safe!
This is a must have product for cooler weather and doing concrete projects..it covers and protects your concrete to let it cure properly.. Handy to have around.. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it..
Haven't really had a chance to use it but it feels good quality vinyl and seems to be a good size I could use to cover my stuff up with.. and if I ever get to pour my porch I would be able to use it to help cure it..
