This is the perfect size for us. Enough capacity for weekend camping and a hinged lid that latches shut and holes so you can utilize a padlock. It's a bit early in the year and the weather isn't cooperating so we've only used it for a day trip so far. It was great when lightly packed, but when packed heavy the weight was a bit much to use the shoulder strap like carrying a satchel. Slung over the neck and carrying it in front made a heck of a difference. When going for trips we usually start out with reusable freezer packs, which is okay for short trips but anything over a day requires buying ice on the road. Then the ice will melt, and we have a sump that needs to be tipped out. That doesn't matter with bottled and canned drinks, but it does with food. This cooler has a drain plug which makes having to tip a thing of the past. It is deeper inside but taller than our previous cooler, which was the same capacity but wider and shallower, more a “chest freezer” design. You can stand 2-liter soda bottles upright and still close the lid, but take this into consideration for the type of packing you do. The insulation and door seals are appliance quality In my opinion so depending on how often you open the lid your ice will remain ice for a long time. I put ice in it and there was plenty left two days later. I am not going to test it, but it seems like it can take a beating. It's just the right height to make a comfy seat! This is the best cooler we've ever had. The one thing missing for us is the lid doesn't have cup holding slots. Great for day trips, camping, fishing, tailgating, power outages, transporting frozen goods from the store, you name it. Will keep raw ingredients fresh.
This cooler is like no other. It's 25 quart but looking at it you would think it's much larger. Easy open cam latches & freezer grade gasket. The exterior is easy to wipe off. It even includes a stainless steel bottle opener. I placed ice packs in the cooler the first day I received it and it remained in format for over 24 hours. I tested a few drinks and they were cold. A must buy!
One of the BEST coolers I have ever used!! Very durable, this powerful cooler has so many features to it, I don't know where to start. I'm not going to pretend, but yes, after you add the ice and drinks, it does get heavy. It comes with handles on the side to carry, or a heavy duty strap to carry on your shoulder. There is a drain hole to drain out the water conveniently. There are two locking mechanisms on the front for extra safety and durability. A feel this size cooler is perfect for the beach or the pool. It truly holds at least two 12 packs or more if positioned correctly. It stays cold for hours, and hours! My goodness I couldn't believe it! The sleek design is very nice too. I wish it could have been a gray or maybe a beige, because white gets scratched so easily, but nonetheless it is still very nice. Durable isn't even the word for this cooler. It is super strong and durable. Quality made, for sure. It was also shipped with a very fast speed. If you're taking a quick day trip somewhere, this is perfect. I definitely recommend and I am so happy for my next beach trip!
This cooler is definitely built tough and is super durable. It's great for camping or backyard family bbqs. It holds enough ice about a case of soda or waters. It's easy to empty and keeps everything cool for hours. Really great quality.
What a great cooler made by Moosejaw. It's the perfect size to hold all your food and drinks for a nice Picnic. I love that most of the cooler is made of re-cycled plastic. The 2.5" insulation helps keep ice frozen for up to three days. The cool is made with Microban antimicrobial protection that keeps it from staining and help protect against lingering odors in the cooler. It is also very easy to wipe clean. It has a nice plug to drain the cooler of water too. I do not like the shoulder strap. I would rather have a handle. The strap makes it hard for me to carry. The side handles work good but I find it to heavy after carrying the cooler for a distance. Love the 5 year warranty. This is a very sturdy and efficient cooler that will be used for years to come.
This cooler is pretty deceptive in size. It is much bigger inside than I thought it would be. I can hold all my drinks and food for a day trip on the boat and easily have a ton of room for ice. It keeps ice cold for a LONG time. Even after my ice melted, I left it to sit for 2 days and that ice had melted but the water was still freezing cold. I really love the carry strap as well. Makes it super convenient to carry.
This is a wonderful cooler. It's big enough that it held everything we needed for a two-day camping trip for my family of three. It kept our cold items very cold, and the coldness lasted until we left on Sunday. The smaller footprint (compared to our old rectangular cooler) also fit better in our SUV, and allowed us to pack a few extra things. It is rugged, well made, and seems very durable. The latches take a minute to understand, as you have to open them and then flex them towards the cooler to latch. While this frustrated me for a few minutes, I see the genius in the design. It keeps the cooler securely latched. It truly latches instead of just closing like every other cooler we have ever had. I have yet to figure out how to attach the carrying strap, and my husband got too frustrated and gave up. While there are directions with pictures, we could not figure out how to make it work. Maybe it's us. I certainly would recommend this cooler otherwise. It is very rugged. It holds a lot. It has a small footprint in your vehicle. It keeps your cold items very cold for a long time.
It is very small inside. It's more bulk than anything and quite heavy. It keeps the ice frozen for 2 days with regular use. I love the drain pipe and the super strap.
This Moosejaw 25-quart cooler has a very sturdy build but is also easy to use and has many nice features. In my opinion it is just the right size for a portable cooler and holds plenty of beverage for a day's outing. Of course, loaded down, there is a good bit of weight. As a test, I filled the cooler halfway with ice and left outside in mild temps. The ice lasted over a day before mostly melting. That is a pretty good efficiency for a mid-priced cooler. The walls are plenty thick and there is a nice thick gasket made into the top to seal it off. To carry the cooler, you have three options. There are handles molded into the sides of the body that can be grabbed. There is also a carry strap that has a built-in handle that can be gripped, or the strap can be used over your shoulder. This strap also includes heavy steel adjustment brackets. The method chosen would probably depend on the weight and distance you are carrying. The latches are plastic but are made of a very heavy-duty material and close securely. I prefer actual latches to the rubber straps that many coolers are using these days. The drain plug is easy to access and has a tether to keep it from getting lost while you are draining the melted ice out (also known as water). One nice accessory that is included is a stainless-steel bottle opener that is separate from the cooler but has a convenient place to store under the lid where it won't get lost. This cooler is a good value for the quality you get.
After 34 hours, all ice cubes were melted and all ice bottles, partially melted… Sodas were cold as were food items. . Cooler was completely filled to give it the best chance of succeeding. The price was so much better than a yeti, but in the end you get what you pay for.
