Moosejaw Ice Fort 55-Quart Rolling Hard Cooler

The Moosejaw 55 Quart Ice Fort Rolling Hard Cooler With Wheels is a very nice looking and tough feeling cooler. It is huge compared to the 30 quart cooler I've been using for the past 40 years. But my old faithful cooler is a bit too small and the walls are just too thin to keep stuff really cold for very long. This new cooler keeps seems like it will keep stuff very cold for more than just a few days. I've not had a chance to put it to a real life multi day test during a hot summer, but my couple of day test inside shows this is one really nicely insulated cooler. I love how solid it feels, the easy to open and easy to close latches, the big wheels are very nice. The only thing that takes getting used to is the handle only comes up half way. So when you are dragging it behind you, it is tipped pretty good when you are holding the handle at normal arms length. This is not a big deal, and it is easy to get used to it. Another big plus is that it has a place to put a lid lock on both front sides of the lid to keep pesky kids and possible animals from prying! For anyone looking to get a very tough, very well insulated good sized cooler, I definitely recommend that you check this one out.

This cooler is impressive! It is well made in every aspect. The latches are sturdy and feel secure in place. The plastic is thick and well insulated. It didn't scratch when I was pulling it and hit the side of it. It also seals extremely well without any leakage. The wheels are wide and can easily be pulled through different terrain. They are more of a rugged design with the moosejaw logo imprinted on them. I had no issues with anything getting stuck in the ridges that prevented easy pulling. The pull handle is a thick aluminum that does not seem like it could bend easily. It also has non-slip padded handle grips! The inside of the cooler has efficient space that can hold everything we need. It states it can hold seventy-eight cans and I'm sure that it can. We filled it with two bags of ice, soda, water and all of our cold food items with room to spare. It does include a deep removable tray that can be moved from side to side. This was handy for us to separate items we did not want burried in ice. I do wish it included more of these trays! We did not lock this cooler but you can add a lock if needed and it can be tied down easily. It also includes a bottle opener that can be stored on the side of the cooler. It was easy to drain and clean when we were finished using it. I highly recommend this cooler!

We absolutely love this cooler and can't wait to take it on the drive on this summer. We've used it for two parties so far and it's been amazing. Where do I start? The handle lifts up and is padded, you can hold many ways. His big wheels good for going through grass, parking lots, sand. The lid has a measuring tool printed on it for those who I'm assuming fish? Not i. There's a release plug at the back end to let out that melted ice and a tray in the top that you can slide back and forth like a deep freezer has. We haven't found a need for the tray yet but I'm sure we will! An added plus is that it's great as a wagon! My daughter loves being pulled around in it. Hahaha The latches for the lid are easy to use and ensure a great seal. The tag said it was stain and odor resistant which has been true so far. I hope they come out with this cooler in other colors it would be amazing!

This is a great cooler . It’s really big and for my family of six this is perfect I also have a minivan and it fits perfectly in my trunk . My son has several food allergies so I need to bring his food when we go away and this does the trick ! It drains easily and the wheels at the bottom make it really easy to transport .

I would definitely say this is the best cooler I've owned so far! I wanted something bigger I could use for vacation and also for when I go fishing and to the beach. I love that it has these nice big wheels on it that makes it very easy to maneuver from place to place, including in the sand. I like the little tray that comes inside it and the amount of space I have. I put 2 cases of sodas in it and still had some space. Seems very durable and well made so far.

I've found this cooler to be perfect in all categories. It is definitely the top-of-the-line quality when it comes to coolers.it's durability and effectiveness in keeping all items that it holds. This large size holds at lease 4 cases of drinks easily.

Used it for a birthday party. The ice melted by 28 hours. We probably could have lasted longer, but it wasn't for camping. It has an incredible seal, almost too incredible since it was hard for me to open a few times. Latches were confusing at first , but once you realize the correct way to latch it closed, you have no issues. This will definitely make a great camping/fishing cooler. I love the separate space for fresh food.

This cooler is well constructed. It's thick, and provides great insulation. I've always used just carry bag types of coolers because the thought of carrying something larger intimidates me. Even filled to the top, the wheels on the cooler are awesome. They withstand under heavy pressure and glide along without issue. I've only tried using this and flat surfaces and field type conditions. I haven't tried it in thicker grassed areas. It does roll over nicely on slightly uneven surfaces. It doesn't get stuck or need a lot of strength to pull it along. It is very easy to clean. I've used just regular stuff and water, a quick scrub, a quick rinse, and turned it upside to allow it to air dry.

Great cooler and I wish it would have arrived in new condition. The cooler did not arrive in a box. It was only wrapped with a few layers of clear plastic wrap and as a result the bottom was marked up and the padding on the handle was ripped. Returned to store.

This cooler looks very nice and has nice features, however I'm not totally sold on its cooling abilities. I filled the included ice bin (very handy feature) with ice, put it in the cooler and left it closed for 3 days. After 3 days there was only a little ice left in the bin. Granted I did not pre-cool the cooler as suggested, but I also never opened the cooler during the test. I would have liked to see the cooler retain more ice. Aside from that fact, the cooler seems sturdily built, it has a nice strong handle, and the tires are big so it rolls nicely over bumps. I also like that the lid latches down so there's no fear of it blowing off in the back of your truck. Overall I think it's a nice cooler, I'm just not super impressed with its insulating capabilities.
