I love this game and now I can play it on my wii and that's awesome
Ok the game is a little hard to master with the Wiimots but when you get the hang of it it is a blast. it takes more skill then the usual button mashing. thus it is much more challenging but loads more fun. NOT a game for little kids. the Konquest mode is the best one ever.
It's an OK game I have bought the wrong game I thought it was a Nintendo Switch game but I purchased the wrong one, so I took it back to Walmart and got a refund
I credit the Mortal Kombat series, which began in 1992, for drawing me back into videogames. I had just about grown out of playing videogames until Mortal Kombat's lure of realistic martial arts mixed with unreal fatality/finnishing moves lured me back. Now I'll be playing videogames until I'm 6 feet under. That being said, I'll get back to my review of the "Wii" version of "Mortal Kombat:Armageddon". I have heard Ed Boon say that this is his last "Mortal Kombat" and if it is, he gave us an excellent parting gift. Every fighter from every "Mortal Kombat" is in there. If they did leave any out, I can't remember. The Konquest mode is different from the "Deception" Konquest in that this is more adventure based, than mission based. The scavenger hunt is still there, but is used to unlock secrets in the game. How does the Wii remote help in fighting? Very well. With each new MK game, the moves got harder and harder, especially the fatality moves. The Wii remote makes it easier, but not all that much easier. It still is alittle difficult to master, but I am more able to pull off fatalities with the remote. Those of you not patient enough to learn the remote moves have the option of using either the Wii Classic controller or, if you kept your Gamecube controller, you can use that. Kreate-A-Fighter is a great way to keep you coming back. They have lots of different styles to choose from. Kreate-A-Fighter is sort of like a "Sims 2" type mode. Motor-Kombat is good for a laugh. Endurance mode is great and a lot better than most endurance modes. There is the standard practice and arcade modes along with a Wii Training Mode and Wii Training Video. The graphics are on par with what you would expect with the 3D next gen stuff. I feel that the Wii version is much better, because I would rather have an extra character like Khameleon than PS2's "Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3". Khameleon makes the fighter list more complete. There are a lot of Krypt items for you to get. The sound effects video is the best. It's hilarious to watch the voice talent mimick screams of pain and fear! The last hurrah for "Mortal Kombat" is well worth the money and who knows maybe this isn't the last one. Although it is time for Ed Boon to move on to other projects.
The only thing that bummed me out was when I heard the creator of the MK series of games will no longer continue the saga. I am not sure, but I do not think the new game MK vs. DC Comics is not made by the same developer. This game allows you to play all the characters in the series, and some characters I have never heard of. You can create your character if you have the patience for that, and the new Wii moves do add to the excitement of this button mashing good time.
I purchased this game because I had heard from friends that it was really cool to play and that you could do all kind of things with the characters. I must say it is one of the coolest games I've ever played. The graphics are amazing and the fighting combos rocks.
The Will controls make this decade old game exciting again. The Best feature is Create-a-fighter. Make your own Fighter and pick the moves. This is personally the best feature on the game. Konquest mode is an ok 3rd person adventure game.
Mortal Kombat has been one of my favorite games. This one delivers. More characters, create your own characters, play as some of the past "bosses". Bloody as ever and still fun.
