Now THIS is a mortar %26 pestle! I had one that must have been a toy, THIS is not. Its nice you can use both side, but crush your rice in it outside, lol. There isn't anything not to like about it, IMO, its sturdy, its 2 sided, nice weight, it has a lid and it was a nice price. Do not remember, but if I bought it, it is a nice price! : ) Note the weight, but short of that, this is the one you want. I got it to grind sugar to a dust for chocolate making, but use it for cocoa nibs too, for starters.

Good quality and versatility for grinding herbs and spice. I really like the 2 different bowl sizes to choose from in one product! And the non- slip silicone mat that is included is very nice.

I love my mortar. The quality is best. Growing up using mortar constantly in the kitchen, I recommend this one.

I bought this as a gift for my mom whom lives with me so I'll be using it too! I'm excited to use it as it is made very well. We both love that it's two- sided.

The product exhibits high quality and sufficient weight to eliminate the need for manual support during operation. The dark marble is beautiful on both the pestle and mortar. I would definitely recommend this product.

This item is made exceptionally well. The quality and craftsmanship is superb. They have thought about everything including the rubber counter cover so it does not get scratched. The enclosed wooden spoon was also very thoughtful. You can even turn it upside down and use that part for spices and it makes a lovely and original serving dish for guacamole.

I am very happy with this molcajete. It is stone and very heavy, not a flimsy product. I love that it is reversible, a deep bowl on one side and a more shallow bowl on the other side. The pestle is also heavy and sturdy, and it has two ends, one more rounded and one end is wider and more shallow. I tried grinding rice with it first, the instructions say that cleans any remaining stone debris from the mortar. Then I tried crushing chilies and cumin seeds to make my own chili powder. I also have ground peppercorns in it, and I mashed garlic with salt. No problems, I really like it.

Loving this mortar and pestle! I’ve been wanting one and this one is quality made. I used it to grind up lavender and salt to make my special recipe of lavender salt! It’s perfect for fish, chicken and veggies! The pestle is solid and easy to use & the bowl has plenty of room for large food items.

Let me start off my saying this thing is heavy! But I mean that in a good way. There is no way this item is going to move around on you while you’re trying to grind ingredients. Plus the silicone cover doubles as a non-slip mat if you do think it will ever slide on you. What a great design. The black and gray color also looks so stylish and right at home in my kitchen. This set looks and feels like a premium set. It grinds up my garlic into the perfect paste and it really easy to wash by hand with soapy water. Can’t believe how fast it dries! Very awesome set and fully recommend it.
