Morton Clean and Protect Plus Rust Defense Water Softener Salt Pellets, 40 lb

The only problem with this product is availability. Many times it shows it is in stock and then you get the notice it's unavailable. Usually you get an option to have it shipped at no charge if you have Walmart plus. I don't know why they don't keep more in stock if they keep running out of it so often.

I have well water and have used the cheaper versions in my water softener for the last 6 years, bought this once because it was convenient to have it delivered from Walmart. What a difference it made! my skin is softer; my hair is softer and my water tastes wonderful and feels cleaner! I will be buying this from now on. It's worth the extra couple of dollars!

These water softener pellets work very well and dissolve evenly without leaving a lot of buildup in the brine tank. My water feels noticeably softer, and the added rust defense is helpful for protecting fixtures and appliances. The bag is easy to handle, and the product offers good value for the price. I would purchase it again.

These pellets do a good job of lowering the effect of iron/rust buildup in my home water system and toilets. I can tell by the feel of the shower water when I run out of salt, it has a big impact on the softness of the water. The bags have a great built-in handle so they are easy to carry and the 40lb size manageable if you want to carry 2-4 bags at once to save trips.

Morton used to make Water Softener Salt Bricks that were shaped to stack together in the package they were sold in. It was so much easier for someone like me who isn't very strong anymore to be able to add them to my water softener one at a time. The bricks were a little more expensive than the pellets, but I didn't mind because it was so much more convenient to handle them, than these bags. Even a ten pound bag is hard on my back. My water container is 48 inches high and it's very hard to lift the bags up and over the container. I wish Morton would consider bringing the bricks back. I purchased several cases of them from Walmart several years ago and wish I had bought even more.

We have well water and a water softener however the water is still rusty. We love Morton Rust Pellets because they keep our water free from rust. I don't have to clean the showers, toilets and sinks as often and our whites remain white much longer. Better than that I don't have to load it in my car, Walmart delivers! Love it!

Trusted brand. Heavy and awkward to move around. The handle is helpful. I have never had a bag break. I have not had any issue with my water softner since I started using this brand. I suggest having this product delivered. It will be easier than lugging it around at the store

The product is good, HOWEVER, I keep getting bags with holes in them which leak salt all over as I try to move them. This salt also corrodes the insides of the softener. The manufacturer of the softener says to ONLY use it under an equal amount of regular softener salt./

I ordered softener salt and bird seed for delivery. When I went to the front door to retrieve my delivery only the bird seed I ordered was there. I then learned that I had to pick up my order. When I arrived at my local Walmart, I learned that my pickup is 20 miles away at a different Walmart. I am not satisfied. I would like to cancel this order.

I ordered 2 of the 5in 1 and the delivery person delivered 1 of the 5in1 and 1 4in 1. I’m owed a refund from Walmart and they demanded I take the incorrect delivered item back, why won’t Walmart send the incompetent delivery person back to pick up the incorrect item?
