This is the best thing I've found for mosquitos. i used it before and shared with my grown kids. so i ordered some more and this time ordered a fogger to used with it. my son is coming to fog my whole yard. i will always keep it on hand. keeps my little great grands free from mosquito bites wile playing in the yard.
Started using product and mosquitoes have decreased from 20 to 1-2 in about a two week period of using twice a week. Very satisfied, we use a sprayer to apply around flowerbeds and grass. We also use dunks too so may be the combination.
Normally I don't use anything in my yard - the mosquitoes feed the birds and bats. But I had a big garden party coming up and my yard is mosquito heaven. They would have ruined the party. I did some research and bought a small container of Mosquito Magician. The evening before the party I mixed it up and used a pump sprayer and went over all the bushes etc. It took a while since I have a large yard. Then it RAINED BUCKETS all night. I was so sad that my work was for nothing. The next day, though, we had no mosquito problems and it was great for more than a week. So it even worked with the rain! I am buying a gallon size this year.
I occasionally get a mild whiff of garlic, but nothing bothersome, for a day or so after spraying, I guess the mosquitoes have much better sniffers then me, because they stopped coming around. Great stuff, and takes a very small amount to cover my yard.
Many reviewers use this product differently. This review is for the "All-in" approach of using the concentrate regularly with the companion hardware, known as the Sprinkler Magician. The concentrate and system regularly covers our entire lawn (1 to 2 times per week) by injecting the concentrate into the irrigation system zones and running each zone for a few minutes. It is very effective against mosquitos and noseeums in Southwest Florida, aka the Swamp. Prior to the Sprinkler Magician / Mosquito Magician system, we had tried one of the equally comprehensive Misting Systems that spray a mist of Pyrethrins around the yard. It did kill bugs when applied on a very still (no wind) day, but they would come back - sometimes as quickly as 15 minutes. We had the system removed at the end of 30 days because it was not providing good results, was very expensive, and we were concerned about health effects of the Pyrethrins after reading more about them. Sprinkler Magician is also expensive, but less. In the Swamp, it's worth the cost. After two weeks, mosquitos were noticeably decreased. By month of twice per week irrigations with Mosquito Magician, mosquitos were not a problem anymore and we scaled back to once-a-week applications. It has worked well for over a year. Noseeums are a little tougher. They are reduced, but when conditions are ripe for noseeums and we want to enjoy the yard in the evening, we manually trigger an irrigation before going outside. It's effective about 2/3's of the time. 1/3 of the time, we'd need to also apply repellant or go back inside. The smell of the product is nice. Friends and neighbors like it, too. Seems much safer than the Pyrethrins.
This stuff works really well. The smell dissipates in a couple of hours and the repellent lasts about a week, maybe two depending on rain. We are in Florida and our house backs up to a woody area. Our next door neighbor has an old pool with standing water. When we bought this house the mosquitoes were unbearable. I tried a chemical spray, which did work but my dog had hives everytime I used it. I hated using it anyway and that was enough to look for another option. This works just as well and is safe for my pets. It also got rid of whiteflies in my watermelon patch. I ordered neem oil for that, but just happened to spray this for the mosquitoes before the neem arrived. Went out there the next morning and the whiteflies were gone too. I do not notice a reduction in butterflies, we have a lot. We've never had many bees to begin with so not sure about those guys. I do notice an increase in black flies. I will take that over the skeeters all day and twice on Sunday!
I'm a mosquito magnet! It doesn't take long for my arms and legs to have many stings. They wait at the door!! I use this in a Ternimex 2 fogger in my porch doorway, half in half out of my house. I can joyfully say that I have not had any mosquitoes in the house or the porch, extends into the bedroom as well, covers a lot of area. I was so happy because I had my 9 month old great-grandson visiting and felt perfectly safe. When I use this up [but the concentrate goes a long way] I will get more.
We used in the evening while setting up for our daughters wedding in our pasture...we have a pond across the street and monster mosquitos here in Florida. This spray worked fast and made it easy to set up even after dark . Was still working the next evening for the wedding.
Great product and well worth the price! I get bitten so badly, while the rest of my family is usually unbothered, so much that I couldn't stand to be out in the evening. I bought a $10 sprayer to mix one cup with a gallon of water. I spray the entire perimeter of my yard, more heavily on the wooded side, as well as on bushes against my house and a light, sweeping spray across the lawn. I can do a half acre with 2 fills. I do it every 2 weeks, sometimes longer if I forget and then see a mosquito, or more frequent if it rains. It's incredibly effective!!! If I'm not miserable and getting bit, then it works! With 4 kids and a dog, I like that it's all natural. It just has a garlic smell but I don't mind that at all. I recommend it to everyone! I bought it 14 months ago and still probably have enough for this summer.
Smells like garlic , my bottle was cracked so we lost 1/2. They never refunded or sent another one ! Not sure if works or not it rained that night
