Mosser Lee Horticultural Charcoal Soil Amendment for Plants, Terrariums, and Indoor Gardens, 2.25 dry quart

My plants are so happy but believe the warning when they say wear gloves 🧤. It causes micro splinters that itch and hurt BAD and are impossible to see

This horticultural charcoal is a must-have for anyone who keeps houseplants or terrariums. The pieces are a good size (not dusty), rinse clean easily, and mix well into soil without breaking down too fast. I use it in my indoor plant mixes and as a drainage layer, and it really helps prevent soggy soil and root rot. It noticeably improves airflow in pots, helps control odors, and keeps the soil fresher for longer. My plants seem happier overall—especially moisture-sensitive ones. A little goes a long way, and the bag size is perfect for multiple projects. Highly recommend for indoor plants, terrariums, and anyone making their own soil mixes. I'll definitely keep this stocked in my plant supplies.

I use this in all of my custom soil mixes, for a drainage layer at the bottom of my outdoors container pots, and for making charcoal vents in my larger pots. It's even a nice amendment in raised flowerbeds. It is extremely messy. Wear gloves when using.

I have recently started collecting plants and it really helps to add this to the soil mixture when repotting. Charcoal helps with excess moisture and balancing the pH levels. So far all my plants are thriving.

this is going to just enough for mason jar herb window garden im going to create in my kitchen, great for what it is for and you get alot for the money best price i found

This horticultural charcoal is perfect to mix as an amendment for my house plant soil mixes. It is big enough to see and do it's job without being too chunky for my smaller plants. See pictures. Pic %23 2 displays inside the 2.25 qt. package and the Pic %23 3 shows it viewed in a tablespoon. It comes highly rated and I agree. I've seen comments about how dusty it is, but it is no more than others. Washing hands afterwards is expected when handling. After all it is charCOAL. Will definitely repurchase!
