I had to order a smaller size when offered, it's all they had. So, I let my have it and she LOVED it. It has insect repellant in the shirt???? Wow.. She said it is very comfortable and breathable. It is really hot and humid here in the summers, so that is nice. The Gaiter was super nice as well. She used it for the yard work. Easy to breath and not really hot. She said she is going to use it in the mornings when she is sitting outside to help with the bugs. Love the print on it as well. Definitely a buy for sure. I tried it out on a cool morning in the low 50's recently, and it was warm enough without a jacket. On the home stretch of our dog walk the sun appeared and the temperature shot up, surprisingly I stayed nice and cool. The white material reflected the sun, and the moisture wicking and smooth feel of the fabric were wonderful. This shirt would also be great for joggers, or on a long bike ride in chilly weather. I didn't have a chance to use the Gaiter, but it will keep the sun from burning your neck on a long day on the water. The garment is treated with Permethrin which repels annoying insects such as mosquitoes, ticks, and flies, and is effective for 70 washings. If that isn't enough, it's also emblazoned with the Mossy Oak Logo front and back, and a colorful sword fish decal on the back. Get moving and get yours today!

I look forward to wearing this shirt when I go pick blackberries or out late at night at one of the kid's baseball games to keep the bugs off of me. I have read other reviews who claim these shirts have a smell but I did not notice any of that. It does seem to run a little bit big so it depends on how you like to wear your clothes if you should order a size smaller than normal.

I love this fishing shirt. It's a man shirt, but I am a female and I fish a lot. I wore it fishing, and anybody who fish, knows those green flies tear you up. I had no problem with insects when wearing it. Now, you have to wash it per manufacturer instructions. If you don't go by instructions, it tells you, it will remove repellent. So please pay close attention to the tag. I read the the tag and washed as instructed and it still repels insects. I highly recommend this shirt to males and females. The gaiter that comes with it, is really cool. I got this from a promotion and absolutely love it. Buy it, try it. It's better than spraying bug spray on yourself.

My husband is 6'1" and weighs 200lbs and he's wearing a medium. I actually like the tighter fit. Love the fish on the back with all the colors! Would make a great lake shirt. I can't make him take a decent photo for nothing but you get the picture :)

Got this for my hubby. Makes getting outdoors without sunburn and bug bites. My hubby said he didn't get any mosquito bites where the shirt covered skin. He was bitten everywhere else. So, the shirt works. This also came with a gator for face coverage. The gator is cute. Over,I recommend this shirt. Con: fits a little snug in the sleeves. I would get one size larger for a looser fit.

I live in a farm town and we have an excess of bugs outside. We like to hang out in the backyard as a family and this is great shirt for later in the day when the sun is blazing snd the flies are out biting. It's light weight and keeps me cool enough yet covered and protected from sun and bugs. The gator it came with is useful for when we run out to store.

I honestly hadn't paid much attention to what I was ordering when I picked this shirt. It is, in essence, a shirt that is impregnated with different types of bug repellent chemicals. Upon reading the fine print when I received it, it was a bit concerning. However, I've put this to the test over the past almost 3 months and beat it up well. I did not use it for its intended fishing use, however, used it daily for protection against the Sun and bugs during a massive yard project. The instructions say the bug repellent coating lasts about 90 washes, which suggests that if you were to wash it everyday during the summer, this would be a one-season of effectiveness shirt. The star knockdowns are because I'm not sure how I feel about buying something that loses its effectiveness after just one season, potentially becoming another piece of recyclable material. On the pro side, it did seem to protect against the sun a bit, perhaps because it's white? And, the bugs did not bother or bite while wearing it. That was a major Plus. It did seem to wick wetness away and not stay uncomfortable or sticky to the skin during sweaty days. Nice colorful graphic on the back. Cons, fishing might be fine, but don't order the white one if you're planning on doing dirty work. You'll end up washing it way more, and thereby reducing its effectiveness faster. It washes okay but doesn't get entirely clean, but that could just have been how dirty to work I was working on was. The gator is relatively useless, because it rolls up at the back of the neck. It'll end up with a nice stripe of sunburn between the gator and the collar of the shirt. I ended up choosing to wear it just on my head to keep the bugs away and for an additional measure of sun protection over my forehead and scalp. All in all, I did like the shirt. It was comfortable, and more importantly did what it said it was going to do. I'm just not sure that I would purchase it again in the future.
