Mother Earth Products Dehydrated Potato Dices, Quart Jar

Purchased to make camping soup starters. Takes some simmering to fully reconstitute and presoaking helps.

First time for the dehydrates potatoes, they are very good, make a great potato soup

If you're in a hurry, these make for a good shortcut without sacrificing flavor/

smaller than expected but alot of dehydrated potatoes, great storm food.

Good. A little bit goes a long way.

I am STILL waiting for my order to arrive by UPS. It has been 5 days now with Delays, and Exceptions! Am I going to receive my order? Thanks Walmart, you do this to me all of the time... my packages/orders are either late, missing items, or delivered to another address!!!

These are a little on the expensive side but the quality is decent. The dices are small but even. Works great to make potato salad and to put in soups.

I use these in soups. I reconstitute them first then they get for five hours in the crockpot and they work fine. Probably a reasonable thing to have on hand during a pandemic when shopping it is a problem.

I was disappointed with this particular product. These potatoes after being rehydrated are still very very small. I cooked them 2 different ways, and I'm not satisfied. Put in homemade soup they practically disappeared, so I thought I'd try frying in cast iron skillet. They stayed same size, but even after well seasoned they were tasteless. I will not purchase these diced potatoes again. Waste of money.

It was thought that the potato dices would add some bulk, flavor and texture to my potato soup I was making, but after rehydrating the dices and adding them, they were tough and chewy instead. Another attempt was to rehydrate and include in a beef casserole, but unfortunately, had the same disappointing results. It may be the dices need to be precooked or rehydrated longer in order to tenderize them before adding to a planned dish, as I did have pretty good results in rehydrating in hot water and frying with hamburger and peppers for a Mexican stir fry recipe.
