Not a 100% fit for 2005 Santa Fe.
Cap fits the fill port but the tether is not compatible to 2005 Santa Fe without modification. Provided pins to attach the tether are like 1/4 inch diameter while 5/16 pin is needed, so I had to reuse the old pin. Also hole in tether is so big (like 3/8 inch), it would not stay on the pin button, so I had add a washer to increase holding area. Yes, the tether is a "convenience factor" and if the cap seals the tank, it's functional, but it is misleading to say this cap is for a 2005 Santa Fe. It can work, but not without "fixing a couple of things".

Do Not Buy This Trash
I bought cap in February 2026, it's now June, in just 4 months this gas cap will not stay locked. It keeps popping off and causing my service engine soon light to come on, uses more gas and smell of gas fumes.

Does not fit a 2019 Silverado
This was suppose to fit our 2019 Silverado pickup. It did not. Returning it was easy but annoying that it was not as advertised.
