I can recommend this ‘with' making adjustments yourself. 2-3 additional jackets can hang on this, Winter %26 Summer ones, not just a vest so that is a plus. However, the plastic wall anchors are of no use, this MUST either be screwed into a stud or much better/stronger anchors must be used on drywall. A lot of companies make this critical mistake when including hanging hardware or in making their designs. Who needs a cracked shield situation when it inevitably pulls away from the wall under weight, which, it will! Secondly, why not a half ball or whole ball shaped ‘padded' piece to support helmets. Motorcycle safety helmets themselves are padded inside, that padding should be protected. I will be adding a larger medium soft foam piece shaped like a mushroom cap on top of the wood disc/puck that comes with this so that my son's helmet's foam lining stays as intended inside and develops no stress indentations in it. I want him protected, i cannot do that for him when he is on his bike but i can at least help keep his safety equipment in good condition. So this display piece has it's good and bad aspects. If you are a creative person you can improve it's quality for yourself but out of the box…as is…there will be issues you do not want or need.

I give this 5 stars for quality of materials of the rack. The jacket hanger, wall mount point and helmet post cap are both solid wood with a matte black finish. The bracket itself is solid metal. I would recommend this be only mounted directly into a stud because it is heavy itself, almost the weight of my husband's jacket. He was really excited to have a dedicated place to store and display his gear. Someone else mentioned adding a soft cap on the helmet post and I plan to craft something using upcycled towels and polyfil. I also think if the bracket mount was longer and just screwed directly into a stud without the extra wood base, it would be more secure.
