Motorguide X3 Foot Control Bow Mount Freshwater Trolling Motor, 45 lb Thrust, 12V

Used it today for the first time. It seems to cut through the water just fine. This is the second motor guide we've owed. We still have the first one and it works great. Now we have a spare.

Easy to mount and easy to use. ALL adjustments are user friendly. Steering is smooth and positive. Pedal is responsive. Any adjustment is user friendly. Best trolling motor I have ever owned!

I am 65 years old. I have used Motor Guide trolling motors the last 30 years. Before I purchased this unit I contacted Motor Guide customer service. The unit I replaced this purchase with operated 100% My problem at night fishing I wanted a unit that was equipped from factory with a light. I was assured by Motor Guide Customer Service this unit was equipped with a light. Upon completing installation I connected power supply and no directional indictor light. I contacted Motor Guide Customer Service and I was informed it didn't have a light kit. None available. Frustrated! The second reason I purchased this unit the mounting holes would fit the previous trolling motor. That is correct. There is a design problem. The mounting slots are not elongated for any wrenches, sockets to mount. I had to modify a 7/16" open end wrench to work. Simple solution to this problem, make the holes wider. The mounting kit included with the trolling motor would work. I didn't want no extra holes. I did install trolling motor in original configuration. Just slow. I am disappointed that I was misinformed about the directional light. I stand by my five stars rating of a motor guide trolling motor. Wal-Mart shipped the unit less time than they projected. I give them five stars.

Very well packed. Assembly was simple. Works fine on my pontoon. Free shipping to my home was awesome!

Only thing its missing is being able to turn on and off by pedal switch you have to hold switch with foot to keep running or manually flip to constant on side switch

Bought and used 4 times. Water getting into the motor. Called Motorguide and they expect me to pay for shipping to the repair center. Less than 4 months old and I'm expected to pay for shipping!!!!

I ordered this trolling motor because it looked like it was a very good deal. I waited and was shipped an item a week earlier than expected. The problem is that the item was not the trolling motor I expected. The seller ChosenIQ sent me a Stainless Steel 7/8 inch steering nut. I not only don't know what it's for but definitely not worth the $130 I paid. I have tried 4 times to get the trolling motor I ordered but all I get is an E-mail instructing me how to send the item back. I am very disappointed in Walmarts customer service for not conveying my wishes to the seller. I am even more disappointed and dissatisfied with the seller ChosenIQ because they acknowledged that they had a glitch in their computer system. So I have to go to the trouble of sending the wrong item back and now the trolling motor has been sold out so I get left with no Motorguide trolling motor. I guess I will order one through Amazon. I don't seem to have problems with the customer service people understanding what I would like. To me it was very simple send me the product I actually ordered not just a refund.
