Had this for about 3-4 months, and it's pretty good. Granted I haven't used it for any games made for it, I've only used it for emulators for the GBA and SNES. But for both of them it works perfectly, you're even able to map your buttons for customizable configuration. From what I hear, there aren't a lot of games available for it specifically. But all you really need are some emulators to get your money's worth. However if you don't get any emulators, you may find this product lacking in last ability. Oh right and there is like a split second delay for the buttons on an Emulator if you pause between actions, a minor thing that's easy to get used to, but still bothersome early on.
It's a quality build that connects without issues. It's nice having the headphone jack built in since the Moto Force requires a dongle to use headphones. The entire unit is built well, with illuminated L+R buttons and rear light is a nice touch.
This gamepad does everything I wanted it to and more. I'm using it with my Moto z2 force and it's just like carrying a handheld console but better. I've played games that I haven't played in years and it's the best feeling in the world.
I bought it being skeptical of the button placement. At end of the day it was a great buy. Love the feedback of the buttons. The Top a bit to close for my taste, but other than its awesome. Great battery life love the lights. A must buy if have and love retro gaming.
Works great! My son loves it. He is impressed that it works with emulators and has a battery of its own
I like the build quality and feel. The app lists all compatible games is a nice touch. I would like to see a app that allows you to use the gamepad in more situations. One of my favorite games is on the list, but the use of the gamepad is poor in Real Racing 3 and many other apps.
The controller feels great and is very responsive. I love the light feedback on the top buttons and the illuminated back logo. My only complaint is that it is a little too thin for me and causes discomfort during long play times.
It is a great idea and works just as advertised. The only major downfall is the lack of games that work with the device and the low quality of the ones that do work.
I do like the Moto gamepad but there are some limitations that it has the GamePad itself feels too small in the hand and the trigger buttons are smooth and rounded which I find my fingers slipping off. the thumbsticks have some slop in them before we actually start getting any movement on the screen and it's not like an input lag but in actual slop in the joysticks which makes it a little hard to using precise movements. I also find that the thumbsticks are rather short so I do feel like those could be a little longer or at least have an ability to telescope out while in use and then be able to be pushed back down during like storage. the battery lasts a long time which is great but I find that my phone battery doesn't last as long so if I don't have myself plug into something then my battery drains it would like to I would like to see the the Moto mod battery be able to work as a power supply as well for the phone so that maybe the Moto gamepad wouldn't last as long but my phone battery also wouldn't die at the same rate. I do really enjoy the GamePad and for my lower stars on the review is mainly just because of the sloppiness in the thumbsticks it does make it extremely difficult to do precise actions so that's why I would give it to lower review unless this just happens to be a one-off with my particular gamepad and other gamepads don't experience that same problem it's the only one that I've used as of now. I did modify my own gamepad with thumbsticks from a PS4 controller trim them down and then hot glued them right on top of the other thumbstick sand that works great gives me a lot more control but it does there is still the sloppiness in the thumbsticks.
