I haven't used it for its purpose yet. Which is a cruise, but I will definitely come back. And update my review. I'm super excited. When it comes to using in the house, they're pretty awesome and the distance from inside to outside was awesome as well

I bought as a gift to my nephews two girls ages 7 and 4 for Christmas. They live in a distant town from me but he said in a text these were one of their favorite gifts play with them often.

I liked that it had a long range. The reception is clear as well. What was a bit unusual, was that sound could transmit through the walkie talkies even if you did not have the button pressed. I was outside watching tv on my phone and the walkie talkie was near it, and sure enough my kids could hear it on their walkie talkies in the house. But it is a great product.

I specifically chose the Motorola branded radios because they've been building quality radios and cell phones for a very, very long time. in fact, they made some of the very first car radios! the physical quality is unmatched by the cheap knockoffs. When you first pick them up, you can feel by the texture of the plastic, the weight and the fit and finish that it is a high quality product. We've only used them for a few days but my seven-year-old daughter is enjoying running around the neighborhood while being able to call Mom and dad. I highly recommend these radios.

These two-way radios are a great buy. Right out of the box, they are simple to set up and use. I had them working in 2 minutes. You simply add the battery packs to the radios, set up your station, and you're good to go. My kids really enjoy using these in our yard to play with each other. The three pack is perfect, as each kid can have a radio while I have one in the house. I can easily call them in for dinner when they are playing in the woods. There is no static and the reception is perfect. We tried to test these out in the car, but they definitely do not work well for that purpose. I was only able to get about .5 mile down our road with one radio while my daughter was in the house with another radio. It does state on the box that they are only good for up to a mile in the neighborhood, so this was to be expected. We have tested these out hiking, and they worked really well for this too. I think we will mostly be using these around the house and outdoors. These radios pair well together and charge quickly with the two charging cables it comes with. I also like that there was a pack of personalization stickers in the box so that we could put our names on our own radios. These radios have held up well to my kids playing outside with them and occasionally dropping them at times and they definitely seem quite durable. They are a nice small enough size to fit in pockets, or there is a handle at the bottom that you can use a band to fasten on to things.

I bought these for some fun playing with my grandkids while they are at their home but found out on packaging that in a neighborhood they only range about 1 mile, so much for each of us in our own homes playing together. Now we use them at my home where the range is perfect for when they go “gator hunting” with my husband looking along the canals we have here in Florida. They have found butterflies, turtles, fish and coconuts that they had to call into me about on the walkie-talkies. SUCH FUN WE HAVE.
