I haven't used it for its purpose yet. Which is a cruise, but I will definitely come back. And update my review. I'm super excited. When it comes to using in the house, they're pretty awesome and the distance from inside to outside was awesome as well

I bought as a gift to my nephews two girls ages 7 and 4 for Christmas. They live in a distant town from me but he said in a text these were one of their favorite gifts play with them often.

I liked that it had a long range. The reception is clear as well. What was a bit unusual, was that sound could transmit through the walkie talkies even if you did not have the button pressed. I was outside watching tv on my phone and the walkie talkie was near it, and sure enough my kids could hear it on their walkie talkies in the house. But it is a great product.

I specifically chose the Motorola branded radios because they've been building quality radios and cell phones for a very, very long time. in fact, they made some of the very first car radios! the physical quality is unmatched by the cheap knockoffs. When you first pick them up, you can feel by the texture of the plastic, the weight and the fit and finish that it is a high quality product. We've only used them for a few days but my seven-year-old daughter is enjoying running around the neighborhood while being able to call Mom and dad. I highly recommend these radios.

In my opinion Motorola is a brand that can trusted to deliver high quality devices and they did not disappoint with these. There are three pieces, very compact, fits into my palm and back pocket and the black and red color is nice (so were the other colors available). There are two charging pieces but they all can be charged together as one would have one cord attached and the other, two cords. They come with belt clips for each device. One con is that the manual was a pain to understand, especially if they did not come preset to similar frequencies but since I have owned similar devices I knew what needed to be done to set it up. The setup was simple to figure out, nothing complicated but inserting batteries, turning on and use (frequencies were indeed preset). They also have headphone jacks for more private transmissions. I tried them and was amazed at how clear one can be heard from far apart ( Tried up to about1500 feet down the street, but hoping to go further. Clear transmission from uppermost story of a three story house to the back yard). This is pretty much all you need in a two-way radio and proves that size doesn't matter.
