Great scooter ! Holds a charge a long time. Not for small kids, it will go fast ! Good customer service. The plug was missing and they sent one right away.
MotoTec 48v 1000w Trike is really great for an affordable E-Trike. Mine was drop shipped in one big heavy carboard box off the Fed-Ex truck; not a semi truck with a lift gate on a pallet. I opened the box, removed the seat and set it aside with the pole and the basket. Then I removed the handlebars which has the front wheel. The handlebars are connected to the base with the power cord. Then I removed the styrofoam layer and lifted the base out. The base has the battery and the two back wheels. Two wrenches and two allen wrenches came inside the box that fit all the screws! I used those to put the two pieces together, then put the seat together and placed it on the base, and I was ready to go with a 3\4 full battery out of the box! Mine goes 15 miles an hour. Just use the map app on your cell phone to tell your speed and distance. There are no shock absorbers so there will be a slight learning curve when you take this E-Trike over potholes and bumpy terrains. But, it handles very well once you get used to it. Also, it has a lot of power. So, you will spin out the first few times. I use mine as a wheel chair \ mobility scooter. It is nice that I can ride it to the grocery from my house, then into the grocery, thru the wider handicap lane, then back home without running out of battery and going 15 miles an hour. My wheelchair only goes 5 miles an hour and runs out of battery after about 5 miles. Since I am using this as a mobility scooter, fun E-Trike, and a mode of transportation... I also purchased rear-veiw mirrors like the ones that go on bicycle handlebars. And a battery operated red light for the back of the seat stick, just like you see on bicycles. And 2 soft chair cushions, one for the seat and one for the back rest. I very much recommend this E-Trike from MotoTec!
Very nice and putting together was easy. Plenty of power to carry a person around the house .
this scooter will not climb a paved hill because there is no weight in the front the front drum brake is the only brake very weak and will barely slow you down on a hill to the point that is is scary to ride on the road the seat is very hard and uncomfortable you have to be careful not to slide off when turning from one street to another. it rides very rough on side walks and the road if it is not perfectly smooth it is very fast and is only good on level, smooth roads
