I ordered this 11/4/20 and it arrived on 11/11/20. I see that the price has already increased by $50 since then. The box had 2 holes in it but nothing was damaged. Any way, assembly was super easy. It took 5 minutes to put on the seat. I also had to tighten the handle bars with the Allen Key/Wrench which is provided. I charged it for 9 hours. When it arrived it had 2 battery bars. I wish the display monitor gave you battery % instead, but you can't have everything! It's important that once you put the plug into the electric scooter that you screw on that metal circle attached to the plug to secure it. I wasted 3 hours thinking it was charging before realizing that. The battery light should be red when you plug it in and when it is fully charged it turns green. You can also see the Voltage which was 67 when it was fully charged! I am a 50 year old female, standing at 5'7 and weighing 200 pounds. This scooter on Mode 1 goes an impressive 50mph. I saw no difference between Modes 2 and 3 and they both went as high as 60mph on flat ground in the park. The moment I went into traffic, the scooter somehow sensed it and wouldn't go more than 22 mph. However, when I went onto the bike lane, it went to 50mph. In addition, I got what looked like an error message that said "E-8 and E-10." In the manual, P8 has to do with percentage speed limit regulation and P-10 says "to be determined." So my best educated guess is that the 'E' stands for Error and the 'P' might stand for Program Code because that is the section where you can change the settings for each 'P' Code. My local park has 3 hills, each one is a higher slope than the one before it and 22 mph is the fastest it would go. However, 22mph is the highest that most electric scooters go at their top speed so I'm extremely happy! I can definitely vouch that this electric scooter does indeed weigh 80 pounds. It's very heavy and hurt my back but I had to test it out. In the summer, I plan on renting storage space for 3 months (storage place is just 3 blocks from me) so this way I won't have to deal with lifting it up two flights of steps on a daily basis when the weather is nice. There are 3 buttons on the handlebar, headlight, horn and I can't figure out what exactly the 2nd green button does and its function is NOT in the manual. On YT that button represents Turbo mode, If possible, I plan on updating my review as time goes on and I ride it more frequently. I can't really speak about the shocks because when I know I'm going over a tough bump, I slightly lift up so I don't feel the shock. I didn't get out of my apartment building before someone stopped me to say "oh, that's nice, how much does it cost." lol I just said "a lot!, thank you." The motor makes a soft noise but it's not loud, I mean it is a motor so some sound is to be expected. The space on the board is perfect for my size 10 feet lol. Overall, I am a happy customer. I purchased a 3-year warranty with Walmart by Allstate.
Helmet. check. Protective gear. check. 6 hours on the battery? check. And 1st gear. This is nice. Smooth ride. Good brakes. Enough room to stand on. I wish it wasn't so heavy carrying it around when I have to. 2nd gear. I am keeping up with local city traffic doing about 30mph. 3rd gear. Now cruising at about 35. And what is this green button they do not tell you about in the owner's manual? Push it and get the dual motors kicking. 38MPH clocked on GPS. I will take the bus on rainy days.
undiscovered underated powerful E-Scooter.love it just need to be watersealed or greased around headlight contact/connection to keep from shorting if driving in lite wet days.
I wasn't disappointed it's very powerful and rides like a Cadillac
I live in Harlem NYC. I just purchased the Thor 60v 2400 scooter to commute back in fourth to work, just tired of taking Train back and forth. I'm a big guy weight 250lbs and my job is on 23rd street, I live on 155street. I tell you the batter did not die once get to work charge by 6am ready by 11am get off work at 4 pm home by 4:45pm real talk! Love it great job!
Great torque with dual motors, good speed and battery life. Brakes have good stopping power. Scooter feels a bit unstable at high speeds. Suspension seems geared towards heavier riders. Great value for money.
The Moto Tech Thor came incomplete and not as advertised in manual. The battery was advertised lithium ion 20 Ah %26 23Ah. The battery I received was 18.Ah! needless to say I am anything but happy right now. The manual for the scooter is basically useless. The manual is poorly written with extremely bad grammar. When calling Moto Tech at the phone number received from your website. While it is a valid phone number. This was how the phone was answered. Thank you for calling MotoTec we no longer take phone calls! Please go on line to start. Now with all this being said. In my life of business I would never treat customers with such disrespect, Walmart well great price %26 fast delivery of such a large purchase. I would like to see Walmart get more involved with my issue. After all Mototeh is Walmart's issue as well. Misrepresenting products is frowned upon! I believe they may still call it bait and switch. Yes this is a serious accusation. Also I have two or three other issues. Moto Who!
Arrived with what looks like a burned out engine. Charged for 7 hours to 100% battery and unplugged like the manual said, turned it on and got a beep code. Smoke and burning smell coming from right indicator (wire within deck leading to rear engine.) Turned off and then on, no more error code, throttle unresponsive. All lights work. Filed online support ticket. Gonna file a return if mototech can't fix this. Walmart has been good on returns in the past for me so no worries, hopefully... Please implement some kind of quality control on these things in the future.
