It's a favorite of my husband. He has a swallowing difficulty.
Motts Apple sauce is one thing that's always on my grocery list. The kids love it, (so do i) and its very nutritious and I can cook with it, also. It's just one of those items you can't forget. The single servings are very handy for a hungry grumpy baby or a treat after working. We all love Motts!
I have always bought a jar of applesauce but before we would eat it or use it in recipes it would go bad. The individual Containers are perfect. I put them in lunches, squeeze bottles to. If I am serving it with pork chops I just put the Containers next to the plates. I also can measure it easily for cakes and other desserts. Love the product. Great taste and texture.
I use Mott's Original Applesauce instead of oils when making cookies or cakes which lowers the cholesterol in recipes and makes them more Heart Healthy. I also reduce the amount of sugar when using the Mott's Original Applesauce which helps keep blood sugars lower. I have even made Gooseberry Pie for a Diabetic using Mott's Original Applesauce instead of sugar and the person it was made for said it tasted just like his late mother's Gooseberry Pie !! Thank You Mott's for helping keep us healthier !!
I love this applesauce more than others! I recently broke down the ingredients.. I know you say only two simple... But why not unveil the third... It's because it's a secret I get it... But I mean either way it's amazing... I only stumbled a crossed it because I tried to make a copycat though I didn't find which apples you truly use since the apples are different everywhere and it would be impossible almost... But that little spice was added.. and believe it or not.. the next day I bought some Mott's... And right on top of the first opening of the pack... I saw that same spice.. it's still however.. the best IL continue to buy Mott's no matter what. Thank you
Don't know what's happened but it is no longer thick. We've been eating all the flavors and they have very very gotten watery . The taste is good but I just pulled the top off one and it spilled out like water. What's happening to a good healthy product?
Such a delicious, seemingly healthy product, and obviously the pouches are aimed at small children, so I was surprised and disappointed to realize the second ingredient is high fructose corn syrup. Come on, Mott's, get with the program. You mean to tell me in this day and age you can't come up with a better sweetener than high fructose corn syrup?
I have bought Mott's applesauce for many years and loved it. However, now, it is so watery and runny. I really miss the old Mott's applesauce when it was thick and didn't spill out of the cup when you opened it. I will no longer be buying Mott's applesauce.
My daughter brought these 4 oz cups for me during recovery from surgery. I did not read ingredients until I had a couple. 22 g of sugar! That's a teaspoon per ounce of product. How, given all the sugar issues in this country, can you make and offer this product as good for kids? And not mention the sugar content except in ingredients.
Applesauce pouches are a lifesaver as a mom of a 1 year old and a 5 year old. There are a couple of brands that I keep in rotation, but I decided to buy these as the price was right and Motts is a brand I'm familiar with. I usually read the labels, but unfortunately I didn't do so this time. Well, I should have. High Fructose Corn Syrup is the second ingredient, and these are super sweet. One of the brands I usually purchase is a store brand, and that brand contains no high fructose corn syrup, so I would expect more from a national brand. I will not be purchasing these again. What a waste of money.
