its a nice cam and gets the job done for what its needed for but my only dislike would be that it takes 16 batterys that last aprox 2-3 weeks at a time before needing to change them and you have to purchase an app package to get more photos and video. so by the time we subscribe to this monthly fee and battery cost its gets a little to pricey for my liking.
best cell camera on the market I love all the ones I have and recommend everyone to get them one too easy to setup and all get you a few of them you can't go wrong
You have to buy a plan with the cellular cams, it's a fair price though if you're paying yearly. pictures are great quality, and they even work down in the valleys and hollers of the Ozarks, where most electronics fear to tread.
Pretty good unless you have it set up where the sun makes shadows and if you have this setting to high, you'll get 2000 pictures of shadows moving, but sometimes there's stuff behind there. You can't see until you really look. otherwise this is the best camera you can get for your money that is so easy to set up. You don't have to buy a card or anything. You just tie it on the tree and turn it on and set up the app right there beside the camera or try to do that before you leave the house.
Overall, the camera seemed to be great, however, I was in the mountains of Western NC, and I could not get it to keep a connection to the cell towers. That led me to returning the camera and requesting a refund from Moultrie for the year subscription I had paid for. The customer Moultrie gave me was outstanding even with me dropping service with them. In fact, when I canceled the service online, they reached out to me right away via phone to discuss the matter. I did have to call them to cancel the plan since I signed up for the entire year and only used the camera for two and a half weeks.
The camera works well. The battery life is very werk. The first set of 16 engergizer batteries lasted 13 days. The 2nd set of store brand batteries lasted only 2 days. Cant afford to replace batteries that often. Moultrie customer service was amazing.
Worst camera ive ever purchased. Missed tons of pictures even having the most sensitive settings enabled. Constantly went offline and it was constantly going through the batteries with hardly no pics coming in. I have my spypoint flex-s set up with it and it failed horribly at all categories.
This was frustrating. There is no slot for memory card. This requires a subscription and you have to pay monthly. The minimum is $9.99 month for 1000 photos. A very windy day can easily use up all of these. Setting up was very difficult after using AC/power supply the thing wouldn't recognize batteries. I was not able to use for the first week of paying for the cellular data plan. I had to do a lot of trial and error with resetting it and using different batteries. It did hold up in rainy days.I did not think the images were excellent. Paying monthly isn't ideal and this 1000 images will go fast if motion is set to high. I am going to find a different cam.
I have my setup in a section of trees 1.5 hours away from me, and the can has needed to be reconnected 8 times. I have had it for 3 weeks. To reconnect, you have to turn it off, then on, and customer service is animated, not a real person, so try that while being quiet in the woods
You have to get a monthly subscription.Starting at ten dollars a month to use this. this day and age that's absolutely ridiculous.I immediately sent it back and got one that I don't have to pay a monthly subscription for.
