The company requires you download an app in order to control this trail camera. The instructions were well written and easy to follow. I was able to set up the trail camera quite easily. It does allow for immediate feed to my phone and I set up notifications to alert me when anything crossed the cameras path so I could see in real time what was going on. The only thing I would want to make people aware of that I was caught off guard by was the fact that you do need to pay a monthly subscription or yearly subscription in order to receive the images. This does not work off of a memory card, but upload your images to a cloud based server And that requires you pay either month-to-month at $10 per month or yearly at a slightly cheaper rate.
This camera was easy to set up and takes very clear photos day and night. You can request to have a video sent as well. It sends alerts to my phone thru the app as well. I am very satisfied with this product.
Smart zone reduced false triggers I couldn't get rid of with my edge 2. It made a huge difference in battery life.
This in not a no glow camera as advertised. Definitely visible to the human eye and deer. I like it anyway. I just get nervous about spooking the smart bucks.
For the most part it works well. There have been times I thought it should be taking pics but wasn't. I put a non-cell camera with it and saw many times it just wasn't taking pics. Not sure why. Support said it was aimed high but changing it did'nt affect it. It is almost like it is random. BUT I have 2 and one works perfectly. The other one is kind of random on performance.
It misses a lot of vehicles that come by the driveway. When the wind is blowing there are constant photos. Night time photos are dark, blurry and unidentifiable
This is my second camera. First one works fine but this one doesn't. I've spent hours trying to resolve the issue using their instructions. Talked to a customer service representative that made me do everything the book says. I told him I'd done all this but camera just doesn't work. After going through all this, he said I'd have to repeat all and video that and send to them to get a replacement after they reviewed my video. Told him Oklahoma's deer season would be over before this could all happen! I'm taking back to Walmart and get my money back. Moultrie's warranty is a joke.
only used 1 month then it quite also batteries dont stay up at all and very little pics it took. would not recommend
Worst trail camera. Stopped working when the temperatures dropped. This is my second camera from Moultrie, and I now know that all of their products are junk. Biggest headache %26 poor customer service.
The batteries do not last. The last time i changed the batteries I used the full 16 battery capability. Within 3 days the unit was down to 77% and in the 4th day it was completely dead. I will be returning this product
