Moultrie is a good name brand and I got a very good price.
Cheaper than other places and I didn't have to go find in store. Saves time and gas!
Timer worked really well on my Sweeney deer feeder.
completely satisfied.
Took a little longer to get here than i thought but thats fine. Read over the instructions 3 or 4 times (just to be sure), but didnt have all the tools with me to change in the woods so had to remove the broadcaster and take home to fix. Installed new timer, took back to the woods and all's right with the world. Thx
My original feeder would accept 26 V batteries. The new timer only has connections for one plus the positive and negative wires are now shorter and thinner.
This timer is almost impossible to program in the field. Much to complicated for a simple timer.
Whoever designed this didn't plan on it replacing a Moultrie timer cause the wires are at the bottom of this whereas all the feeders timers I replace come out the middle and I have to cut the housing to “adapt it. Not something you can do in the field. POOR DESIGN.
Do not like the timer at all. Universal means you should be able to use them on any feeder. This timer does not output a full 12 volts and not work on feeder that require a full 12 volts. The old Moultrie timer worked fine snd was much less complicated to set up. Why do you not offer both.
I have 4 moultry fish feeders on a 2 acre pond, 6 ghost feeders on two hunting clubs that run with moultry timers and a moultry spin feeder in my back yard just for wildlife viewing. I have had very few issues with timers in the past but i do occasionally replace one. I loved the old timers because they were super simple to program and fairly dependable. The new timers were aparently designed by an out of work space scientist who just wanted to show off how he could take something simple and make it a complete pain in the #&%=#!. WHY?
