Served its purpose well in my case. The instructions and diagrams well very helpful. The security lock option was the main reason for the purchase and so was the low price! Even if one doesn't need the lock, this item is still a really good purchase!

With respect to the other reviewer, you can't pay attention to his review as he is clearly uneducated on the subject. I'm a professional installer, and the mount is good for a TV up to 55" AS LONG AS it has a VESA 400x400 mounting pattern. This doesn't mean it's going to fit every single TV up to 55". Certain brands, Panasonic for example, used much larger mounts than were necessary for years despite being 50". As long as your TV has a 400x400 mounting pattern, this will work fine. If it's bigger than that, you need a larger mount.The only thing I would change about this mount is that there aren't a ton of holes through which to put a leg bolt to connect the mount to a stud. You're not always going to hit studs anyway, but this mount makes that just a tad harder. Other than that, a great mount.

seems like an excellent mount that will indeed provide a bit of security but we did run in to one problem: The installation directions are printed SO small that none of us, including a 20 something with excellent vision, could read them. We did get it figured out and mounted the TV and all else with this mount seems very good. If you're going to install this one you're going to need a magnifying glass to be able to read the instructions!

Even though they sell that as an accessory for the TV I purchased it really wasn't for that tv. Secondly the box must have been opened at one time because the box was all taped up and some screws were missing.
