I find with underlayment, it typically likes to bulge and bunch up when flooring is placed on top of it. I didn't run into this issue with Soundbuffer. This underlayment gave a smooth layout with little to no problems. It was used in upstairs bedrooms because we could hear so much walking around and jumping from the kids right along with their video games and shouting. After installing underlayment from Soundbuffer all the noise seems to have calmed to a whisper. I'm a big fan of this product and plan to use it all throughout the house during the remodel.
