The responses are not pre recorded, so it would respond to everything your child says. But the best part? It records these conversations onto an app so you can have the recording forever! The only drawback is it comes with 60 minutes free talk and after that you have to pay for it.

The quality is great and has many different functions to make it more magical. There's no scent to this product only smells brand new and ready to use for Santa calls.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids love Santa's magical telephone, and I'm equally impressed. For starters, setting it up was extremely easy. You plug it in and set it up with your wifi. That took maybe around 3 minutes to do. After that, you are all set to talk to Santa. The technology is pretty awesome. He responds and can keep the conversation going back and forth very well. My daughter was amazed that he kept saying her name and answering all her questions. She has been asking to call him daily so I know we will be getting a lot of use from this. The voice is very clear and easy to understand everything that is being said. It is such a cute Christmas decoration as well and I love the look of being an old telephone. We can't wait to use this all season long.

Such a fun experience and definitely worth the money. Also like that it's a sturdy toy that can't easily break. Love that we can use this for all different kinds of play :)

It has brought some magic to my household, especially for my 5 year old nephew. He loved being called by name by Santa. Got him so excited and into the magic of the season. The set up took a few steps but was relatively simple. My parents loved the vintage throwback look of it even though the young kids had never seen this type of phone before. The power of the phone worked, the sound was clear. The conversations are not always fluid, sometimes there was a pause. But it reminded me of a slower pace of life, ironically. It's fun, interactive and I liked that adults are just as curious about Santa's conversations as the kids.

Phone just rings, Santa doesn't answer. Suggestion from Mr. Christmas website is to disable firewall on router. So you have to make your WiFi less secure just to use the product. I was not willing to do this so I don't even know if that would have worked. Don't waste your money.

It's not worth $99.00!!!
