Mr. Coffee 2 Shot Pump Espresso & Cappuccino Maker, Black

Compared to my $$$$ commercial expresso machine, to the price of the ECMP50 espreso machine , the ECMP50 makes great expresso (latte , my favoried drink). I am very pleased with the ECMP50 pump expresso machine. The ECMP50 design is well thought out, IHMO and simple enough to use following the instructions. A minor drawback of the ECMP50, in my opinion , is that the steaming wand could be a little longer to reach into longer cups.

This is my second Mr. Coffee pump machine for the office and home use. They are just great. We've had expensive machines, cheap machines but none work better day in and day out as this little gem delivers the cup.

Years ago, I was an exchange student in France. A friend had an espresso machine, and when I asked the brand, he said, Monsieur Café. I couldn't believe that it wasn't some French brand. I decided then that I'd get one some day when I got home. There was an excellent pre-black Friday sale. I got an automatic ceramic coffee grinder as well!

Makes high-quality espresso and has a great frother for lattes. But, as with all pump espresso makers, buy the extended warranty. Every one I've owned has a limited service life. My previous Mr. Coffee ECMP50 lasted just under two years. Fortunately, I bought a two year extended warranty.

I could pull a decent shot of Espresso but the milk frother doesn't seem to have enough power. One cycle of frothing is not enough for even 12oz of milk. Frother automatically stops after some time and you have to wait for it to be ready again to finish the frothing.

I bought this on sale and i love it. I know its proly all espresso machines but i wish they had even bigger cups to make. I have to make two double shot espressos to be satisfied for the day. Works well though. I also like it has a water resevior so i dont have to fill it constantly.

First, I will say that the company should be paying me to write this review, lol... but I am doing it to help others like myself that couldn't find a great review. That said, I have been using this machine to make espresso almost every day for a month and a half and I like it very much (so far). I read up on many machines that were much higher in price, and I am very pleased with my purchase of this one considering I was worried I'd have to spend over $100 to get a decent machine. This is my first experience with an electric espresso maker, so I don't really have a basis of comparison. My first concern was the machine being powerful enough to make the "crema", but it DOES make crema :-) This is also extremely easy to use. I have read other sites say, "it takes practice to make a good cup"...this machine is pretty much dummy-proof. I suggest cleaning it after every use so as not to create build-up of coffee(which will stop espresso from dispensing properly). The water reservoir holds a lot, so you won't even worry about always refilling it. You will need about a foot and a half (of width) counter space to prepare espresso. When preparing espresso, you select the coffee cup icon, and turn the knob on the side until desired amount of espresso fills up the cup. Make sure you line up your cups with the spouts, otherwise you'll have a mess. It's not like a keurig that shuts off once done. You have to manually stop it...I didn't know that when I first prepared it! lol Only "complaint" (if you can call it that) is that it's quite loud. But I'm pretty sure they are all loud. The milk frother also works well. Makes milk hot, even froths up coconut milk. Again, clean it after every use- that's gross if you don't anyhow. And the rubber piece does come off for cleaning. I purchased this for my niece, as a Thank-You gift for coming to stay with me for 2 weeks, and seeing me through my husband's memorial service. She enjoys it. Her son, who is autistic, is DELIGHTED with it, and enjoys making espresso for EVERYONE. I KNEW my niece would like it, but that it delights my grandnephew is an unexpected treat. I was a tad disappointed to hear that it did not come with a steamer pot for steaming the milk though.

Purchased on Walmart.com in early June 2016. Dead on Arrival -- no water or steam coming out of either outlet. They replaced after waiting for another week. This machine makes good crema, but good luck if you want to make venti/large latte, it would not steam that much milk. Very weak steamer, and shuts out only after half-warming the milk, so need to run again. Waste of time especially if you're in a hurry to get to work.

I've had four of these by now, and the machines die quickly. Newell Brands / Mr. Coffee / Sunbeam didn't recognize the Walmart.com online receipt and I don't think they ever refunded me. Get the Allstate plan if you buy this, maybe they'll actually pay out when it fails? Mine last an average of six months. That could be because our electricity is not terribly even, but my computers are still all working and my TV is fine, so why is this coffee maker the only thing that dies every time there's a brownout? The frothing wand is SO good I'd consider buying more of these and getting the Allstate 3 year warranty, but only if they pay out. Maybe I'll send my latest dead espresso maker to them and see if they're a better company than Newell Brands / Mr. Coffee / Sunbeam.
