Great movie!
This is not an action movie about solving a case, but rather a movie about Sherlock Holmes as he is presumably nearing the end of his life. If you watch it with that in mind, it is a great movie. Well acted and just beautifully done. As soon as I finished watching the rental, I got online to purchase it so I can watch it over and over. Loved it.

Moving drama
I've watched this movie 5 times and each time I love it even more. Great acting. Very poignant, moving drama. Excellent.

Wonderful movie
I saw this movie in a theater when it first came out in July. A great cast and a great story so I had to have it on DVD.

Waste of time and talent!
This film was a total loser. The dialog was impossible to understand at points and the storyline was weak. I watched it last Tuesday and I can't remember most if it. It was more of a story about an old man and a young boy facing the issues of mortality rather than a crime drama. The last case is truly lost in a maze of bee keeping and references to Dr. Watson and his writings. Best to put your sleuthing skills aside and prepare to be bored if you watch this one. Sorry Gandalf, this is a dud.
