These are plastic but sturdy. Safety crafting scissors, safe for children over 3 yrs old . The variety of different cut patterns is cool and they don't get bored because they have plenty to choose from.

My package was stolen and they overnighted me another set just in time to do a school project with my kids. They are not pointy or sharp enoph to cut the skin of my kids so they work for just how we need them.

Bought for 6 year old niece birthday present. She loves that they have them at school and now she has them at home. She admitted she wanted to take a pair home but now she has her own full set.

I am using these to cut tissue paper and other things for modge podge and other craft projects. They cut well, are easy to use and line up for a nice, clean cut and I would recommend them to others (adults and children alike).

They are ok for light duty crafting. One pair the blades were stuck together and couldn't open it to use.
