DIY all the way

Mike65 January 16, 2019

Purchased the unit last summer. My brother and I did the installation - it does require four hands. Followed the instructions and just like that, the unit was installed, lines charged and cables energized - the cooling unit works great, the heat too! I've had many of my friends ask about it and one just bought one for an extra room. Great product.

Ado easy

Mikey1982 January 16, 2019

I have had this unit running in the house for over a month and we love it. We have not gotten to run the A/C in the summer, but I've ran it just to see what it can do..... It works well. The install is easy, the outside unit is small and it runs quiet and well. See have two separate units in our house now and will be adding a third this summer. We are pleased.

Awesome!

Mastarr January 14, 2019

I have had the system for a few months now and living in AZ hasn't been more comfortable in my garage. The cars stay cooler in the summer and it's a nice cool place to hang out with friends in the summer months. I haven't really used the heater portion on it yet but I did turn it in a couple of times and the heat pump works great too. Only took a few hours to install and setup. Very quiet operation when in use. Overall I am very satisfied with the product.

Mr Cool saved me $4000

ATLCUB January 14, 2019

So aside from some basic knowledge on how to screw in a light bulb I had never tackled anything this big, after watching some YouTube videos I felt confident enough to install it myself, the hardest part was making room on my electrical panel to install the new breaker and after purchasing some single pole 20A breakers I had enough room to put the new breaker, the second most difficult part was actually drilling a hole through the wall, simply because the drill bit was not as long and the width of the wall.Let me add that you shouldn't cheap out on the disconnect box for the outside,I initially purchased the $10 one from Home Depot and the disconnect was bent and so I had to troubleshoot from the breaker all the way to the Unit sooo get the $30 one with fuses as a double measure. The unit was installed nat the end of summer 2018 and it cooled my 1200sqft 18ft ceiling main level effortlessly. Heating is not as efficient, specifically here in Atlanta when the temp drops below 40F, the air coming out is not as hot even in turbo mode. All that being said I had gotten mutiple quotes from different contractors and they were all comming in at $4800 plus for a 14 seer 2 ton unit. Total cost of the project was $1490 for the unit, $100 in electrical supplies and $7 for the lineset cover which is basically a square plastic gutter from Ace hardware. If you were having second thoughts...don't this will save you $$$$

Good little heat pump

hamilton3475 January 15, 2019

We've had this unit through the Summer until now (Jan.) It cools very well and has surprised me with the heat. We've had a couple really cold nights in the 20's and the unit has handled that very well. The only thing I dont like is the fan doesn't cycle on and off. But, other than that we love this little unit.

Works good - Issues with wifi

Merc January 14, 2019

Cools well and heats well. Not all that difficult to install. The wifi is suspect though. It has a problem going offline from time to time and I have to reboot (power off) the system to get it to return online. Not a huge issue for most people because they will be using the supplied remote control. I have a cabin that I want to heat before I get there and need the wifi to do that.

Pro's and Con's

davenstl January 15, 2019

heat portion of the unit works great during mild winter temps. It defrosts every thirty minutes or so then returns to its heat mode. Have not used cooling mode yet since it was installed in October. Very quiet and I think it will be a great addition. Keeping my 1200 s.f. garage/shop useable at 65 degrees. Outside air in low 30's.

So far good!

Big ant January 22, 2019

Unit works great. No issues. Installation was a breeze As well. One thing needs improvement is the quality of the mounting bracket. It seems since i chose to run ac lines to go threw the wall on the left of unit instead of standard right side it barely fits in space provided. Braket bends away from wall n now gap between wall n unit has increased so it is no longer flush to wall. I removed, bent it back and reinstalled but happened again.

Cools and heats - but the mount is bad

Badmount Monty January 23, 2019

I bought several months ago and I still have problems with the mount bending and moving. I will have to take the whole unit down and glue and screw the mount to a more substantial backing (plywood likely) - cut out the drywall and remount the unit. The WiFi control does not work - and I have tried different routers. It never connects. I will likely order another brand next time I need a split unit. Also - they could not deliver to my house. I had to reschedule delivery a few times and then meet them at a different location and load the unit in my car to take to the house.

when purchasing it said everything included. This in not true, it does not come with a condenser. we triend to return, it said contact voomi. they refused to exchange or take back. they were still new in box. even thought walkmart has a 90 day return, zoomi only allows 30 days. now we are stuck with them. will bever use voomi again. n8ce waste of 2k.
