My TB will stand quietly and let me scrub his ankles when his scratches flare if he gets these as his reward. My mare will try extra hard doing her carrot stretches if I'm holding these cookies. These are wholesome, and contain none of the allergens like wheat and soy other treats contain. My TB is allergic to wheat and soy and I was having to make my own treats. These are better, last longer and my horses LOVE them. Worth the cost.
My two horses happily eat whichever horse cookies are available...but they definitely consider these the "best". I use them when high value rewards are due.
I have a small herd of 8 cows and 4 calves. The cows can't get enough of the cookies. They line up and wait for me to go down the line, except one cow. Somehow she manages to be first in line and last in line at the same time. It's kinda miraculous.
These treats are my two horses absolute favorite treat to get, besides peppermints of course. Even my picky eater eats these. I feel great giving them Mrs. Pastures because I know that they contain good wholesome ingredients for my horses.
Our place is NOT complete without a good supply for our horses and even the dog likes them when the horses or I drop one! They are so far superior to ALL other horse treats! Our business is a veterinary clinic. Mrs. Pasture Horse Cookie is a nice treat for many of the horses when they are done in the treatment room. Our reasoning is to reinforce, "It's not all bad in here!" Most clients like the little extra TLC given to their horses.
I've used these for a few months they are amazing! My horse doesn't care about any other treat she will dig in the bag. She never does that with any other cookie. She begs for them after a ride. I have to give them to her!! Every horse person check them out!
One of our horses will eat nothing else. The other will eat almost anything. They both love these treats, and I've used them for the longest time, for a lot of horses, and never have I gotten a turned up nose. They're good, they're simple, and they're healthy.
My thoroughbred is incredibly picky. He acts like I am going to poison him when I offer him anything new, including treats. However, he loves these cookies and ate them right away. If he's happy, I'm happy! By the way, my pony loves them too, but he doesn't count because he'll eat anything :)
My shire, Gentleman Jack, loves these cookies. I'm a label reader and before I decided on Mrs. Pastures I read every cookie box/bag out there. I like MPC because the ingredient list is short, the ingredients are human grade quality and there are no unidentifiable ingredients. I feel great about giving Jack the best, and only the best.
i have ridden since i was 5 years old and almost always used these treats as reward. I now own a Shire x Thoroughbred and share my neighbor's horses. All three horses will devour these. My horse will not eat anything new especially treats. She will pick anything up like she is gonna eat it then aims at me (anywhere will do as long as it hits me) and spits it at me. The first time i took these to her i stood out of firing range and tossed one over to her. SHE DEVOURED it and started shoving me for more.
