Great laptop! This laptop runs all of the games I play nicely, is not overly heavy or loud. Can get a bit hot though.
Performance and specs are great for the price considering the ram and ssd crisis. Battery wouldn't charge so had to have the laptop repaired under warranty though
Just got it setup, however this thing is very snappy. I hope to pop it open and upgrade the RAM to 32GB. That was the only compromise I feel I made buying this. The specs to price are great value for sure!
Amazing laptop!
This would have been my 4th MSI laptop, but man, their build quality has really seemed to go downhill. Display had several stuck pixels and the GPU was throwing artifacts in Furmark. Returning and getting a desktop with comparable specs but 32gb RAM. I can't really speak for this device's 16gb RAM and it's gaming performance with the larger vram of the 5070ti. I suspect it'd be fine for the most part, the NVIDIA "XX70" laptop GPU has always been pretty good with limited VRAM being it's Achilles heel. I'm not saying don't buy this, the 16gb ram is upgradeable and it's probably fine for most games, just take note that this generation seems to have a higher chance of defects going off my experience along with a few Reddit and MSI forum posts. I really miss my GL65, that one was made of metal, not plastic, and was a fantastic gaming laptop in its day (2070 Super}. This particular laptop should run everything well enough though it's possible that Virtual Desktop PCVR and Star Citizen will want at least 32gb RAM, the latter doesn't run well on any 8gb VRAM GPU so the 12gb may improve things significantly. Forza Motorsport is another that would accept high settings on a 4070 8GB and then run poorly when it'd max the VRAM and start trying to allocate system memory, so again, 12gb ftw, but I seriously recommend looking into at least doubling the RAM if you want to daily drive this. Protip, if you have a previous gen (rtx 40-series) MSI laptop with DDR5 5600 32gb or more you can probably swap, I was going to but this thing was a dud.
