Muddy Legend XLT 2 Man Tree Stand 18 FT. - 500 lb. Rated - 2 Four Point Harnesses -Flex-Tek Seats

This is a great stand for the price point. Sure there are even better double ladder stands out there, but they are also hundreds of dollars more. I needed to upgrade a bunch of singles to doubles for hunting with my son and these work well. There are other brands that have almost the exact same stand, but having parts in bags by each step really speeds up the assembly. Also, I've had to re-drill holes due to poor quality control on the others. So far these stands seem better overall.

Ignore the comments talking about it being hard to assemble and that the instructions are bad. If you've got any competency it's an easy assembly. The welds on the stand leave a lot to be desired, my 6 year old cousin could do better. The stand overall still feels pretty sturdy. It took me an hour to assemble and another hour to get it up on the tree by myself.

the instructions are horrible it took me two hours to assemble it..because bolt and screw was mape out clearly..and metal tubing is very thin ..i do not seeing last very long inn outdoor because of it rusting ..i rather pay extra $30 and more thicker tubing .sometimes will last longer basically going have paint every year ...i wouldn't recommend this to my buddy's poorly made steel material

Purchased two Muddy XLT stands. These stands are loud, flimsy and weak. The top rail has a weight limit of 15 pounds. I weigh 185 and can't lean against the top rail without it moving. The seat has a bar in the middle that prevents you from sitting in the middle. It isn't a comfortable stand in the least. The stand fit isn't tight. You can't climb the stand without excessive noise. Two person? Only if one is a child. Overall quality definitely isn't what I expected from Muddy.

Very noisy: climbing, standing, moving around, etc. Plastic washers don't allow for sufficient torque to eliminate metal to metal creaking AND the male femalejoints are not close enough in size (sloppy). VERY frustrating. I taped the joints with duct tape and still way too loud ... especially an hr before daylight on a cold calm morning!!

doesnt feel safe at all. I put it together just like directions said. Also doesnt seem as roomy as previous double stands I have purchased. Seat is very uncomfortable. If u wanted to sit in the middle, you couldn't becasue there is a bar there. They made it like 2 different seats. Yes its a double stand for 2 people, but like i said its not very roomy. So if you do use it by yourself u may need to sit more towards the middle and you cant because theres the bar...

The stand ladder collapsed when I was 8' up on the air. Bent at the rung on both sides. Luckily my son caught me when I fell. Don't know how this could be considered a 500 lb rated stand. Felt really flexible and wobbly from the initial set up. Muddy has always made solid equipment. Don't know what happened here.

This is the worst purchase I have ever made from Wal-Mart. Obviously someone had previously returned this item and it was sent to me missing parts. construction is very poor on this item. I am extremely disappointed. Will never order a ladder stand from Wal-Mart again.

Muddy should be ashamed to market this as a 2 person stand. If you are 5 ft tall and weigh 112 lbs this might be for 2 people. Being 6-1 and 250 there is no way an additional person could sit here much less comfortably. The stand on its on is extremely uncomfortable. The back bar is right in the middle of your back. There is a scene in the movie "life" with Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence where they make them stand barefoot on coke bottles . I can imagine that this is almost as uncomfortable as this deer stand. I have already assembled this and walked it deep into the woods, so I will keep it through the end of this season, and replace it next year. If I could disassemble and return it I would, but it is not realistic at this time. I do not recommend this product.

I've been a loyal Muddy customer for years, but this experience has completely shaken my trust. We bought this 2-person ladder stand, and while putting it together, a weld broke before we even finished assembling it. If that had happened in the woods, my husband, myself, or—worse—our 9-year-old child could have fallen and been seriously injured or killed. This isn't just poor quality; it's a major safety issue. I expected better from Muddy. Walmart and Muddy both need to take this seriously before someone gets hurt. This is no coincidence as we have a friend that purchased the same stand last month from a Walmart 2 hours away!
