Not Disappointed
I have been searching for this movie for about 6 months, I am a Sherlock Holmes fan. The movie dispite what other reviews have said is quite entertaining, well written and well acted. You have the best of the best as far as actors of the time in this movie and they do what they do best and that is act !! I highly recommend this movie to anyone who loves Sherlock Holmes.

SLOW HARD TO FOLLOW BUT IT WAS STILL GOOD I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT THOUGH IF I NEW IT WAS ENGLISH SET

Sherlock Holmes Meets Jack the Ripper!
If you love Sherlock Holmes and have a penchant for murder mysteries, you will like this movie. Christopher Plummer as Sherlock and James Mason as Watson, make a great mystery solving duo. Murder by Decree is quite a good theory on just who the infamous Jack the Ripper may have been. Though doubtful. It is in Widescreen format and as always a good deal from Walmart.com at the time of purchase. We have this film on VHS as well. However, as it appears VHS may be all but obsolete in the not too distant future, if not already, we are trying to replace our VHS library with DVD's. Not an inexpensive venture. Very happy with the quality, value and service afforded us by Walmart.com.

Good times...
Well, the package it came in was torn across the front, at an angle. Like someone had taken a knife to it. As such, the case was damaged as well. A big cut across it. This cut the box cover. Other than that, the DVD is not damaged at all. It works fine.
