This is the best deck or patio heater I have found for the money. It generates plenty of heat and will extend my deck time well into winter. It looks great also! Very easy to assemble and they give you extra hardware for those of us that drop things. This is a gravity feed so there are no augers to get plugged up. my typical burn is 4 hours and only uses about 3/4 of the pellets. I'm looking forward to setting on my deck when the snow flies and still be comfortable.
Picked this up for my backyard patio and so far it's been a winner. The heat output is no joke — 75,000 BTUs means it really does take the chill off, even in a wide-open space. Once it's running, you can feel the warmth a good distance away. Ignition is straightforward, though I'd suggest giving yourself a little patience the first couple of tries while you get used to how the pellets feed. Once you've got the hang of it, starting up is quick and consistent. On the looks side, the 84" height makes it a centerpiece without being obnoxious. The black steel finish feels sturdy and blends in nicely with outdoor furniture. It doesn't look cheap, which is always a worry with patio heaters. Tips: Use quality wood pellets for a more even burn and longer-lasting heat. Make sure you have it on a level surface — it's tall, and you don't want it wobbling. Let it run a bit before you expect full heat; once it gets going, it holds steady. Overall, I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to stretch out patio season. It's powerful, durable, and makes evenings outside much more comfortable.
Very easy to assemble. We have a taller covered patio and the heater works great! It looks very nice and is easy to clean the ash tray and move around.
Great heater for the money! We looked at several others and decided to go with this one at a 1/3 the price. We've burned for about 6 hours so far and it's great. Beware! The whole thing gets very hot!!!
Looks great! Throws off some good heat. Just keep the hooper open all the way and it will feed pellets and run non-stop. Alot of fun. Close the hooper and it extinguishes in about 7-8 minutes. No smoke.
the unit was easy to assemble and works great, however, if it is windy, the heat will dissipate, and some sort of starter helps. I also have mine on the ground and used bent rebar ground stakes to anchor it down because it tipped over with the cover on. without the cover, the pellet hopper pellers stayed dry, so a cover might not be necessary, but I'm in a state that snows a few months a year.
I am happy with this product and purchase thru Walmart.com. This fireplace functions well, appearence is very nice and the heat output is pretty good so far. The product seems to be well made and the assembly was very easy with good instructions. The fireplace fits nicely on our patio and you can see the flames well.
I really wanted to like this. I liked the idea of wood pellets over propane, but this just doesn't not produce enough heat. I am sitting about 5 feet away from it on my patio and can't feel any heat off of it. It is a shame because it looks great, and I like have a visible fire, but it is kind of pointless when there is no heat provided. Unfortunately, I am returning it.
I purchased 2 of them. When it arrived one of them had a dent on the side, the other one was scattered but I put them together. I figured that it happened in trans to my house. My husband and I tried them they heat up fast, but only lasted about 20 min, and you had to add more pellets. My husband touch the heaand it burn his hand. It is very dangerous if you have children around. I am returning this.
This is advertised as not producing smoke after the initial burn/curing process. This is false. It smokes A LOT and has now discolored the entire outdoor patio and coated it with black soot. VERY disappointed and upset about this.
